<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Moo2K4:</div><div class="quote_post">You don't need to be a point guard to initiate the offense. Note that Kobe initiated it a lot in Phil's earlier days in LA and also a lot the last couple years. Also, Lamar Odom intiated it a large amount of this past season as well. In Chicago, Pippen was the main initiator. The point guard is essentially just a position for the shortest player on the court to play. It just so happens that most of the initiators in this league are point guards. You don't have to be a point guard to initiate the offense though. And seeing as how the Lakers run a Triangle, the point guard hardly ever initiates it as it is.</div> Didn't realize you were even thinking of which offense you were running, lol. I was saying in terms of how I set up my team... Run-n-Gun style, fast breaks everywhere, so the ball would always be in Magic's hands.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Franchise4Ever:</div><div class="quote_post">He is talking Houston</div> Yeah i know
PG- Magic/Van Exel/Nixon SG- Kobe/West SF- Worthy/Baylor PF- Wilt/Horry/AC Green C- Kareem/Shaq Since Worthy was so efficient back in his days, I take him over Baylor because he doesn't have to dominate the ball as much (great TS%), and the immediate chemistry he has with Magic and Kareem. If I'm allowed to use Malone (in his prime), then scratch Horry. Van Exel/Horry are in the lineup due to their range, although if you don't need that atm, you could put Nixon/Green in the rotation.
How about the All-Time Laker lineup vs All-Time NBA lineup Lakers: PG: Magic Johnson SG: Kobe Bryant SF: Elgin Baylor PF: Kareem C: Wilt Chamberlain Bench: PG: Norm Nixon SG: Jerry West SF: Jame Worthy PF: Robert Horry C: Shaq NBA: PG: Oscar Robinson SG: Michael Jordan SF: Dr. J PF: Bill Russel C: Hakeem Bench: PG: John Stockton SG: D-Wade SF: Lebron James PF: Karl Malone C: Mose Malone ???
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting kobe4life:</div><div class="quote_post"> SG: D-Wade SF: Lebron James</div>No way is LeBron on an All Time NBA Squad yet. You don't give him the nod over some of the greatest of all time like Scottie Pippen, Larry Bird, etc. The same goes with Wade. While he may be great right now, he still doesn't get the nod over the likes of Clyde Drexler, Dominique Wilikins, etc. There are so many choices that those two don't deserve it right now. Also....what about Patrick Ewing as a backup to Hakeem?
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Swish15:</div><div class="quote_post">How about this for the Magic if all the players were in their primes: PG: Penny Hardaway/Scott Skiles/Chauncey Billups SG: Tracy McGrady/Nick Anderson/Steve Francis SF: Grant Hill/Dennis Scott/Corey Maggette PF: Chris Webber/Dwight Howard/Horace Grant C: Shaquille O'Neal/Ben Wallace/Shawn Kemp (?)</div> That should not even count Billups, Kemp, Maggette, Wallace, Grant, nor removed/from their primes. Stop cheating the list. If where going to do it like that imagine this Bulls roster all in their prime Jordan, Pippen, Gervin, Sloan, Wallace, Artest,Elton Brand, Rose, Rodman, Grant, Robert Parish, Nate Thurmond, Love, Ron Harper, Brad Miller, Jon Salley, Charles Oakley, etc. it's a wrap.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting bruin007:</div><div class="quote_post">I agree Wade and LeBron are not even 50 greatest all time yet</div> Yeah, how do you leave off Larry Legend? What about Kevin Mchale, and the Glide? Wait for their careers to be done to add them to the list.
The Lakers would still win! haha. Not including Larry Bird is sacrilege . Lebron and Wade should not be on the list yet either. I agree. What about Kevin Johnson, Charles Barkley, Dennis Rodman, Scottie Pippen, oh man....
