Hoopshype has an article up about Toni Kukoc possibly returning to Chicago. Toni was quoted as saying Chicago is a definite possibility. He also said that if he returns to play overseas he would only do so for Real Madrid. Anyhow, I didn’t post the article because it was not in English, but giving you guys the heads up. I don’t mind having Toni he is a veteran leader who when healthy can give you a solid ten minutes a night (or however much you need). However, I feel that we would be better served giving that roster spot to Aaron Miles than Tony…
I wouldn't mind bringing back Toni. He'd be a great veteran leader for all our young guys and he gives us a great shooter off the bench in the 10 or so minutes that he'd be playing.
I wouldn't mind having him. Like Moo said he's a veteran leader and he gives us a good shooter of the bench.
This is a good idea for the Bulls to pick up Toni. He's a classic player and even though he's not what he used to be it'd be nice to have him finish his career back where he became a big name.
I'd love Kukoc back in Chicago. He is a vet, would be a fan favorite, and a good shooter off the bench.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Toni Kukoc is telling friends he plans to play another year, and that his choice is between the Bulls and Milwaukee, with a strong leaning toward returning to his first NBA team. The unrestricted free agent probably doesn?t have a lot to offer any team physically at 38 (Sept. 18). But he might be able to give the Bulls some key minutes here or there, especially in the postseason, and as a mentor perhaps he can impart some wisdom from his three-peat days under Michael Jordan. The 6-foot-11 Kukoc averaged 16 minutes (4.9 points, 2.3 rebounds) in 65 games for the Bucks last year, and during the playoffs in 17 minutes per game his scoring average was 7.3. The Bulls have enough perimeter players and Kukoc is no help inside, so it could be argued that a project would be a better investment. But if Bulls GM John Paxson signs Kukoc, it won?t be in great measure because of what Kukoc can bring to the floor. Kukoc is one of the last links to a great time in Bulls history, a time Paxson was part of as player, coach and broadcaster, and the kind of time Paxson hopes Bulls fans will experience again very soon.</div> Source
i really hope they sign him kukoc was my favorite player (next to jordan pippen) when the bulls were winning i think he should be givien a chance to win another ring (everyone is saying bulls are contendors) and retire where he began
I remember hearing a while back he was locked with finishing his career with the Bucks... I bet Bulls fan would love to see him back.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting I-Miss-MJ:</div><div class="quote_post">Is he the last of the Championship team still playing?</div> Well Dennis Rodman still trying to come back , but besides that yes he is.
If kukoc does return he can be a good leader off the bench. He can still give quality minutes, a few baskets and is a good passer. Kukoc is a winner, from his days before the NBA and with the bulls. He can be a good influence on the young players.
Toni is a good veteran leader to help the young shooters on the team. Wouldn't be a bad pickup for the Bulls. The guy is also a very terrific shooter even with his age.
I?m from Spain and I would like to see him playing in Spain for Real Madrid. I would like to see a player like him, a good veteran player that has played for a lot of years in the nba and see how he does in here.
