When i say recent,i mean rivalries from like a 10 or 12 year span. Of course you have to have the Bulls vs. Jazz in there. Knicks vs. Bulls. Kings vs. Lakers, and a very recent rivalry if it is one, Miami vs. Detroit, along with Suns Vs. Lakers. I don't want to put spurs/mavs in there because those games bore me out too much.
Knicks Heat but that died out soon after both teams went to rebuilding. One of my personal favorites were Spurs and Lakers when Shaq and DUncan were in their prime.
Dallas/Spurs recently, and possibly Dallas/Rockets if the Rockets return to form. However, when Shaq was with the Lakers, I loved watching every Kings/Lakers game. That was a great rivalry.
What about the Pacers and Knicks? With Reggie Miller dumping all those 3s on them and knocking them out time and time again.
the pistons and heat seem to be building a little bit of a rivalry now i think, and also the pacers and pistons
Kings vs Lakers, at a time, was the Yankees vs Red Sox of basketball. Always exciting to watch usually unpredicatable.
Vince vs Raptors - The Air Canada Centre goes crazy when someone leaves on a bad note and boo the hell out of them, it shows how passionate they are for their team. Anyone who's been there or even watched it on TV knows what im talking about. This also goes for T-Mac but that kinda died down.

Did you watch their epic 7-game series in the playoffs? Without exxageration, that was probably one of the greatest playoff series of all time.

I want to see two high octane teams like, how Dallas and Sacramento used to be. Phoenix and somebody. I have a feeling the Bulls and Bobcats are gonna have one brewing soon. Those two teams are going to be amazing once they mature.
don't get me wrong, spurs vs. mavs was ok, but all of today's playoff series are that way now...maybe if it was back in the early 90's then it would be something special. but a classic? nah c'mon...
dont tell ppl that series was an instant classic just because your a spurs fan. for it to be a classic other people who favor other teams must think so also, and im going with Gamtime on this one, it was a boring series. just lost interest in it after a while

Do you not like watching the Pistons either because they don't score 110 PPG? Even if my team lost, or if it wasn't my team in it, it was still a great series. I just don't see how any fan cant appreciate that series. It was easily the best playoff series last year IMO
if it aint a blowout, any game can be "fun", but of course high-scoring games are better, faster pace, less foul calls which is what could've made last year's playoffs a whole lot better. Just let them play, thats what i say.
