The Mavs/Spurs series was what basketball should look like. But before Avery the Mavs/Kings were absolutly breathtaking with the way they played. A series that i liked that wasnt Mavs related was Lakers/Kings, and one I'm looking forward to seeing more of is anything that involves Hinrich, Paul, or Arenas. Lebron and Melo is pretty nice too.

When I first started getting in to basketball I saw the Kings vs. Lakers in the Western Conference Finals. It was so great and so new because I was little. I have never seen anything like Kings vs. Lakers (In my life).

In recent years, Knicks-Heat, Knicks-Raptors (as a Raps fan), Lakers-Kings have been a few of my favorites. Even though it's no considered a rivalry, I also enjoyed watching the stacked Blazers versus the Lakers.

yeah those were some good times. if i could, i would go back to those years and just relive it all, even though they didn't win a ring, they played basketball the way it should be played. they brought the whole run and gun style and unselfishness to the NBA alongwith the European players.

To quote you in another thread, and add some words of my own:

uhh what's the point of this thread. yeah yeah Kings totally choked away their only chance for a ring ..blah we all remember. no need to remind us, if i wanted to i would make a thread titled "Where were you when the Kings actually mattered?"...who cares.

Mavs-Heat is not a rivalry. just because 2 teams played each other ONCE that does not make it a rivalry. Suns/Lakers and Knicks/Everybody are the 2 best rivalries right now.

Knicks vs. Heat/Pacers were classics. Not so much now anymore.
