Alright guys, the first round of the battles have now ended. In order to vote, go into each of the battle threads and grade each member on these following criterias: 1. Originality ..../15 2. Rhyme Scheme ..../15 3. Creativity ..../5 4. Rebutals ..../20 5. Flow ..../5 total _____/60 Originality - how original is the rhyme? have you heard something like this elsewhere? Rhyme Scheme - how did the words rhyme? were the rhymes creative? Creativity - this is sort of like originality. was the person creative? did he try something new? or did he have styles you already heard? Rebutals - how strong were the person's rebutals. did he respond well to the attack? Flow - how does the rhymes sound in your head? <font color=""Red"">*Edit - </font> <font color=""Red"">Because the criteria is very time consuming, you DO NOT need to use it. Just vote for your guy, and give an explanation as to why you think he won. Thanks.</font>
Everyone can vote. Only I, or someone in charge, will be able to total up the scores and average them out. You must grade on the criteria, or else your vote will not count!
so brian you have to copy and paste this down when you vote? 1. Originality ..../15 2. Rhyme Scheme ..../15 3. Creativity ..../5 4. Rebutals ..../20 5. Flow ..../5 total _____/60 and do we have to grade on just on our pick? or on both ppl

I'm not going to even bother voting if I have to follow that.
Alright then. You dont have to vote with the criterias if you dont want to. If you vote though, make sure you explain why you voted for that person.
polls aint a good idea, cuz i think it was locke who was saying people could just randomly pick someone without reading the battle.
no.. wee're supposed to just post it on the battle thread... just say i pick this person because _____________
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Laker_fan:</div><div class="quote_post">We should have three judges, it's the fairest way.</div> If so, I think 44 should be one.....
I don't get this fascination with the idea of 3 judges. When I'm battling I'm always trying to cater to the audience, trying to get my name buzzing in the discussion thread. It's much more fullfilling when you win by being voted in by the community. And on the idea of fairness, can you point out a vote in the last round that smelled of unfairness? I never got the impression that people were voting based on future competition and, generally, everybody seemed to back up their votes with a good explanation.
How do you know that people are just saying a certain person won just because they are a Team leader/Admin/Mod?(I'm not saying this has happened). Let's be honest here, if we want to decide a fair winner, some people shouldn't be allowed to vote as they are incapable of coming to a fair decision. Three judges who know what is good and what isn't should vote. I'm thinking someone like THE DREAM, 44thrilla and someone else. I know this is all fun and everything but you should do it how you want as I'm not participating. I'm just trying to make this fair. I mean in boxing you don't see the crowd deciding who won the fight do you?

I guess it could, but I think people in this forum are better than that.

But, not enough other posters have come in and vote and I like the idea of having fellow competitors grade me. I guess some parts you just have to leave up to trust. I doubt anybody would stoop so low as to vote to cheat. But, if they were that desperate to win a small rap tourney on a basketball board, than I say they can just take it. I know I would rather lose than do it.
