New Jersey Nets Carter has gone from half man, half amazing to half man, half the season back to just plain Vince Carter over the span of his career. Slowly, Carter is beginning to shed his reputation of being an injury prone has-been into once again being considered one of the league?s top shooting guards. While he?s no longer as explosive as he was early in his career, Carter is still good for some highlight reel action and Alonzo Mourning will certainly attest to that fact. The fact is that since his arrival in New Jersey, Carter has been good for roughly 25, 5 and 5, which is enough to keep him among the league?s elite. Paired with Richard Jefferson and an aging Jason Kidd, now is the time for the Nets to make some serious noise in the Eastern Conference. </div> Source Congrats to him.
Pretty accurate list. I'd put Redd over Rip though. Since Francis has played all but half a season at PG for his career, albeit more of a scoring PG, I'd put Ricky Davis at #10. A forgotten name is Larry Hughes, due to the fact he misses half the games each year. Mo Pete should be an honorable mention

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting AznxBaller:</div><div class="quote_post">McGrady? Or is he being considered as a small forward now...</div> I was going to say the same thing about Paul Pierce. It's hard for me to go ahead and name one other media outlet that calls him a Small Forward, which leads me to question the credibility of this particular site... Wait a second, we're talking about Real GM right? Forget I said anything.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">McGrady and Pierce have always been considered sfs.</div> Right, thats why both of them are listed as guard forwards on their NBA profile.
McGrady, Pierce, and LeBron are all considered small forwards now. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">McGrady and Pierce have always been considered sfs.</div> That's not true at all. Both played shooting guard at different points in their career. McGrady played a lot of shooting guard in Orlando and Pierce played it a lot when Antoine Walker was in Boston.
VC played a lot of SF in TO, and sf when RJ was injured, but would you consider him an sf? Odom played some pf for LA but would you consider him a pf? Would you consider Duncan a center, or Wade a pg? There's no need to get technical here.
I dunno, I wouldnt have Francis on that list, I know he played sg for the Knicks but I still consider him a point gaurd. Also, I couldnt help but notice on the Names for the Future part they had Devin Harris, isn't he a pg?
Just thought of something. If Francis is on that list, so should Iverson. Besides, Iverson played shooting guard most of his career, while I don't think Francis has actually played it that consistently.
Francis is ont the list because he's SG on the Knicks since Marbury is there. Iverson is clearly the PG in Philly right now. I don't agree with where J-Rich and Rip Hamilton are ranked. Michael Redd should be #5 after Ray Allen. Now while I do feel Joe Johnson is better all-round, and defensively, Redd is a superior scorer, it's a 5 PPG difference while playing less minutes. I need to see JJ get his team more wins next season before I put him over Redd. I'd go: Kobe Wade Vince Ray Redd JJ Manu Rip J-Rich Hughes/Gordon/maybe Francis, I actually would've have thought of Francis as a SG
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Moo2K4:</div><div class="quote_post">Not really. Outside of the people above him and maybe Mike Redd, can you name any other SGs in the league better than [Rip Hamilton]?</div> I consider both Redd and Ginobili far better. It's the combination of Hamilton being overrated and those two being so underrated that annoyed me.
