How do you guys think john salmons will do in sacramento? will he make the team better or worse in your opinions? he's going from playing under the shadows of AI to playing behind another great pg in Mike Bibby....[IMG]

Well the Kings have a lot of depth in the backcourt with guys like Francisco Garcia, Kevin Martin, Quincy Douby, Ron Artest, and now John Salmons. His time will probably be backing up Bibby, in which case he won't get much time. Expect his stats to be similar to the ones he put up in a Sixer uni.

Shouldn't this be in the Kings forum?

I assume he wants opinions fro guys who have seen Salmons play the last couple of years. I'm just going to label this thread OT and let it go...

I don't know how much time he's going to see over in Sacramento. They have plenty of talent in the backcourt, and if he's backing up Mike Bibby, he's not going to see much more than 12-14 minutes a night at the PG spot.

I still dont understand why the Kings decided to pay the MLE for John Salmons. Like CK said, they are loaded in the backcourt, and I dont really see where Salmons will fit in the rotation. Either way, when he plays, expect him to give you guys a scoring boost. Besides that, he's pretty useless IMO

i hear he's a very good ballhandler, and he can play multiple positions, even maybe backing up Ron Artest.

I think he'll be like he was with the Sixers....a mediocre guy coming off the bench for most of the season. Can't say I'll miss the guy in Philly.

John Salmons would make about 2 lay-ups, shoot 40 ill-advised shots, and endless turnovers. Satsify you? Predictions: He'll be cut after the TC

You're kidding right? Salmons isn't a star, but he certainly won't be cut from any NBA roster. The guy has talent, and is a good offensive weapon. Plus, he is very versitle. He should provide a good spark off the bench for the Kings.

If the team is deep enough (Which the Kings are) John Salmons isn't gonna get a pass because this team sucked.

What are you talking about. The Kings didn't sign him with their MLE only to release him after training camp.

Your right, but he's just that bad. Eh, maybe he'll be mediocre with lesser minutes.
