i know we are shoping for a center right now but if we keep the same roster we have currently who do you think should start at center? i say blount even though he sucks he's better than eddie g in my opinon
Agreed. Hopefully we can find an option three in a trade or something but who knows. Its too bad Blount isnt in a contract year other wise he would play awesome.
^lol, yeah, i think that blount has to start as of now, but there are definately better options out there.
Blount is about as good as you guys have. He's really not that bad either. He played solid last year and plays decent defense. The only thing he doesn't really do well is rebound, but with KG around, how great does he really have to be?

If Eddie Griffin found his jumpshot again, I'd rather have him starting at C, he can rebound and is a nice shot blocker too. He'd be a very nice guy to just use as a rebounder/shot blocker who can hit a three once in a while for 26-28 MPG. (He's also a goof) Blount is decent on offense, defensively I don't see anything special. He fouls too much, I don't know what happened to his 7.2 RPG days during his contract season in Boston. Also offensively I can't stand watching the guy only because I've never seen a player get so many travels and 3 in the key calls in my life. You look at his high turnovers and wonder why, it's not bad passes, he just doesn't know what he's doing. Olowokandi wasn't any better with the travels, but FARR better in terms of 3 in the keys, he hardly got any, it's not like he knows how to post up anyways. Oh, I totally forgot, but isn't Kelvin Cato a FA? That would be a very nice pickup IMO. He can give you some nice rebounding and shot blocking, and he can score a little. He shouldn't cost anything more than $1 million, since he's a 32 year old guy coming off a 3.6 PPG, 2.6 RPG, and .44 BPG season. I prefer him to a Mark Blount, he doesn't think he's an offensive superstar.
Even if you get Reggie Evans, he's not a center. He'd be way too undersized to play that, especially considering how undersized he is for a power forward. So, unless you're putting KG at center, he'd be nothing more than a backup.
Is KG strong enough to play center? Especially considering his age and the abuse his body has taken as a pro for the last 11 years. I don't think starting him at center would be the best idea.
He bulked up to 245 last year, he is plenty strong anyway, he just doesnt look like it since he is about 7'1".
