This would give them a great offensive shooter.

Maggette is a respectable mid-range shooter and when he has his feet set from beyond the arc he'll knock it down occasionally. With that being said, Maggette is a guy that scores about half his points from the free throw line.

I'd love for this trade to fall through for Denver. They already have a lot of my favourite players on their team.

Damn typos, great offensive player. It's not like he is bad shooter either though, he has improved from his pervious years.

It'd give them a reliable second scorer next to 'Melo, which is something they do need. Well, he's reliable if he stays healthy. However, he doesn't give them a shooter. He scores most of his points from mid range and near the basket. However, as I stated, he can score, and that's something they need, another scorer. It's just too bad he can't really shoot, something that'd fill their other big need.

This is a great trade for Denver and Atlanta. Denver gets a reliable second scorer, and if healthy is a 20+ PPG, 6 RPG guy.

    PG - Andre Miller
    SG - Maggette
    SF - Melo
PF - Martin (Nene once Martin gets traded)
    C - Camby

That lineup wins the division easily, IMO.

Definately doesn't give them a "shooter", but he gives them a very good scorer, a guy that could as well be a first option scorer himself. This will also allow them to put a lot of pressure on other teams big men because Maggette is the best swingman in the league at getting to the line when you look at minutes played. So add that to Carmelo who goes to the line 9 times a game, and that's a lot of fouls.

This would be a stupid trade for the Clippers though like I've already said in the Clipper forum. Also Denver only trading Joe Smith, wow, what a ripoff.

maggete is an inconsistent shooter although he can hit the mid-range J and occasionally the 3. i think they just need a pure, catch and shooter who can knock it down when called upon.

I like Maggette, he can get to the line 8+ times a game and has a nice TS%. He's a nice offensive piece.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">ESPN.com - After what has seemed like an eternity for the Indiana Pacers , the team appears to be closing in on a deal that formally secures the return of swingman Al Harrington.

Arn Tellem, Harrington's new agent, said on Monday night that the Pacers are "very close" to finalizing a sign-and-trade arrangement with the Atlanta Hawks that's been weeks in the making.

Harrington, according to NBA front-office sources, is expected to sign a four-year contract worth $35.3 million with the Hawks, who will then deal him to Indiana. It's believed that the Pacers will complete the swap without making a cash payment to the Hawks, who originally sought the maximum $3 million that teams can add to trades.

Atlanta would receive a future first-round pick in exchange for Harrington. It was not immediately known if Indiana will also acquire third-year center John Edwards, whose departure would remove an extra $1.1 million from the Hawks' payroll.</div>
