Standings: 1- Chutney 2- MrJ 3- Smitty 4- Locke 5- Junoon 6- AznIverson 7- vcwannabe 8- Air Fresh Welcome to round 2 of the battle tournaments. Congrats for making it this far. In round 1, we have seen some epic battles, and legends were born. But now, round 2 has arrived, and the challenges will become that much harder. Who will win it all? That remains to be seen. But the battles will only get harder, and the competition will only grow greater. Good luck to all, and remember to have fun. ** - I will be extending the battles from 2 days to 3, because a lot of schools have already started ** - Please, only the battlers may post in this thread. Any comments should go in the discussion thread. Thanks
Yeah, it's time for me to strike first, gon' be a dope verse, Your bubble's about to burst, better go see the nurse, Let me tell you how I'm like, you know that I'm nice, I'm here to spit the most absurd ish you ever heard in your life, Here's some words of advice, that you should listen to, If I'm not singing your praises, then I'm prolly dissing you, Your rhymes were weak in the first round, you had no sound, Swish almost had your ass, man, you almost fell down, The number four seed is about to take over, Man, you dozing off, dude try to stay sober, If you fall asleep, you'll miss my lines, If you really can't focus bro call for time, Now I'm not really that worked up against you, I won't break no sweat, After all you a Canadian as well, we talk the same smack, From Bakardi Slang to K-Os to Buck Sixty-Five, We rep the same place, we share the same vibe, But for the next three days I'll let the disses pour, One Canuck's gotta win, I gotta go to the Final Four, So I'm sorry Junoon your legacy ends here, This game ain't no peaches and cream, just lettin' you know dear, I took it easy on this verse this serves as a warning, Starting from my next post things won't be boring. I guess I should go put the champagne on ice, Cuz my celebration party in three days is gon' be nice.
I'll make you shake like tectonic plates, scared to face~an~ace I'll place~a~taste of my rhymes in your mouth, so sweet that you'll be dazed~for~days// Junoon'll break your bones, I'll rip your swagger Leave you rollin on stones like your name was Mick Jagger// When I flow my style-owns, my aura is independent Competition? I'm battlin an Ontario Place park attendant// I gotta face this fellow canuck, Chutney and Azn bein the others by the end of this battle I'll leave you red and white like our flag's colors// You're clearly getting defeated, as your head is slowly swirling Your battle raps are as exciting as watching the sport of curling// Was that a battle verse? Or are you an emcee tour guide? I don't need you to tell me about K-OS and Buck-65 Scared to throw any punches, you're quick-to-hide You ain't NEVER winnin this battle, even if you had 60-lives// Are you my competition? Or are you complimentin me? Talkin about my legacy like you're writing my biography// You can celebrate all you want, but it's all for no reason You winnin? Canada has a better chance of not havin a snow-seaon//
In my last verse homie I gave you fair warning, From now on it's business, I keep the inferno burning, I wasn't trying to kiss ass just giving you your fair props, But after how you responded the sets will now drop, You know I got a sick flow you even admitted to it, I gave it to the Secret once now again I'm ready to hit, I'm an Ontario Place park attendant there's nothing to hide, After all you professed your desire to be one too aight, I'm the number one draft pick Lebron James, You're a bust like the Kandi Man say what's my name? I got two more days don't need to take long to rhyme, I'll go live my day then come back when it's due time.
More then battlin me, this dude's~in~awe He's giving me "fair props", that concludes~it~all// You'll lose~it~all, your chances are gettin bleaker Speak up Locke, your punches keep gettin weaker// like Lebron in his first Nike ad, I'll leave you frozen~son Comparin yourself to the new 23, when I'M the Chosen~One// I'm through with givin you chances, and only one of us is advancin You're a cancer to this tournament like any team with Steve Francis// I'm a bust like Kandi-man? please, you lack a master~plan You beatin~me is like eternal~peace between India and Pakistan// I'mma attack~this~man like I was Cactus~Jack, Call me Dr.Dre cause this verse will leave quite an After Math// you need some practice~man; cause you should be banned~from~rap You're useless like a plotless movie with a master~cast// Readin your verse was an absurd~journey, let me immerse my proposition// I'll make your prescence disperse~from~this~tourney like I was a magician// First, I must say, I don't play; to be terse Just like Canada, my range of rhymin is quite diverse//
Both had some pretty slick verses..this was a close one..but I'll have to go with Junoon. His punchlines hit harder and he came back at him better.
I vote for Junoon. Locke himself admitted that he lacked inspiration. And despite the lack of talk in the discussion thread, Junoon brought it just as much as in Round 1.
Junoon, he was strong through the whole battle, and his lines were so creative and original. Good Job to both of you though.
I got Junoon, as well. The difference seems to be experience, as Locke was one of my favorites in the first round, but seemed to run out of steam the more he battled. Junoon got nice once again, with his complex raps that have become his trademark. You can tell he's had some experience before all this.
