just a thought, but with the slower pace game, wouldnt wilt get the ball A LOT more as well because his skills were so great teams would liely iso to him just about every posession, so then we would be taking the same, if not even more shots. Plus they would be mroe efficient if he was dunking the ball. Not sure if im right at all, but it is a possibility

Interesting point.

That is an interesting point though, the pace does allow more time for setup, especially for big men, but then in turn allows the defense to be set, and also allows causes less shots obviously. In the 60's though even though the pace was slower, the NBA was considered a vertical game with some exceptions, so you played fast, but got the ball to the bigs. That's also why people should not look at player weights and scorn at them, Shaq couldn't play that pace at 320 lbs, he'd have to slim down to be going up and down the court like that. Similarly, guys back then would also take one summer to bulk up if they were to play now, but I mean Bosh plays PF and survives, so it's not like they wouldn't be able to play or something.

That's some pretty cool information. Imagine Wilt against Yao.................... Okay that's enough Wilt would kill Yao.
