Brown was the recipient of the 2006 Cousy Award that honors the nation's top men's collegiate point guard. As the newest Cousy recipient, Brown was to speak to guests along with Cousy. The Cousy Award was established in the name of the 1971 Hall of Famer in 2004 and has been won by Jameer Nelson from St. Joseph's University in 2004 and Raymond Felton from the University of North Carolina in 2005, followed by Brown.</div> Source
