Well, one indicent that comes to mind is about a year ago, when Matt Bonner intentionally fouled him and KG got up and went to try and knock him out. It was uncalled for and it was related to the other team. I'm sure there are more.

    Sportsmanship or not.

It is wrong to punch a player who hasn't punched you, IMO. Let alone it being a teammate of yours.

KG didn't go to knock Bonner out. I saw the vid not too long ago. He got up and was immediately charged and bogged down by refs. Spree was the one who went to punch him.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Chutney:</div><div class="quote_post">lol, punching a teammate has everything to do with sportsmanship. So what if Rickert was being cocky? If he played well enough, he has every right to taunt/be arrogant without being punched. Both times Garnett should have taken the higher road and been a leader, instead of stooping down to their level and making the situation worse. So, in terms of leadership and sportsmanship, I would give the edge to Bosh over KG. Obviously, that doesn't mean I think CB4's better than him, though.</div>

    yeah... what he said [IMG]

yeah i also think the rockets and magic are gon do awesome this season (and hopefully the raptors...)

p.s. chutney i like how u think. i should look at ur posts more often [IMG]

My bad. My memory of the incident was kind of fuzzy in the first place.

they are very promising. their talent is off the charts good. they are above average at I think every position except the 2. although morrison MIGHT play the 2. they have 2 above-average point guards, a matchup guy, a great post player and now a good slasher/3-baller. all that's left is the coaching...

Everyone has writter them off. Do NOT sleep on them. Why? well because they are heading into hte season with basically the same team that didn't make the Playoffs. So it's only right they be written off. However, the fact that these guys are coming together and bonding. They COULD make some noise.

Knicks? They made the worst move in the draft. They didn't get anyone good in the draft nor did they make any bold moves in offseason. Why Knicks. both Francis and Starbury can't carry the team. They really don't have anyone that can lead the team to playoffs.

I'd say the Rockets, but they're not really a "surprise" team. I'd have to go with the Boston, Toronto, or the Hornets. Boston is gonna simply be one of the most exciting teams to watch. They already have the most athletic bunch of players, but then they go and add a distributor in Telfair (who might average 10ass a game). Same thing with Toronto in adding Ford. Ford is gonna have them running like crazy, and they have Mo Pete who will definatley get open looks. Chris Paul is phenomonal and will lead the Hornets to a great season. Golden State might do something special too[IMG] These young teams are gonna be very fun to watch. I can't wait!!!

Marbury and Francis have the potential of being one of the best backcourts in the NBA if they can get along. If Eddy Curry is in shape (like what has been reported) and can stay on the court this year without foul trouble, he could be a big impact player for them this year. They have plenty of talent, including what I've listed and outside of what I've listed (Lee, Robinson, etc.). They have the talent to get there, I just don't know if they have the defense or the chemistry to get there.

I don't know man, 2 great one-on-one players does not necessarily make a good backcourt. I see them as one of the lesser backcourts in the league DESPITE having 2 "name" players. their skills don't complement each other. Give me TJ Ford and Redd, Nash and Raja Bell, even Tinsley and Steve Jackson anyday as a better backcourt

Tinsley is always hurt and Jackson is inconsistent. I can understand Nash/Bell because they contrast eachothers style greatly. One's an offensive playmaker and one's a defensive stopper. Even though they're great one-on-one players, it doesn't mean they won't mesh. While I don't have all the faith in the world in them, if they can mesh and not go at eachother on a nightly basis, they have the chance to be an explosive duo.
