"Chris has been a guy, who when he has played, has done a good job for us on the offensive glass," Wade said. "But it's 12 guys on the team, so I think Coach, like he told everybody coming in, he doesn't know who he's going to play any given night so everyone has to continue to be ready." Johnson had 11 points for the U.S., which shot 51 percent. Bosh grabbed 10 rebounds, leading the Americans' 53-32 advantage on the boards. </div> http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/bask...a.ap/index.html
One positive that has come out of this for Bosh is that he has had to focus on the little things to earn playing time: offensive/defensive rebounding, defense, setting up picks, passing, etc. And hopefully he picks up a little something playing/practicing around veterans and pros like these. Because, to be honest, he's never really had a solid veteran presence to look up to, since he's been in Toronto.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Bobcats:</div><div class="quote_post">Just remember guys, this was against Senegal.</div> I was waiting for this comment. You know...it's better than dropping 10 and 5 or something like that. If he did have a stat line like that, then people would be like "oh he was facing senegal, he should of dropped 20 and 10". Dwights line: 14 Min, 4 Pts, 1-4 FG, 6 Boards, 1 Blk
Hopefully, the coaches can see how Bosh can perform when given the opportunity and give him more minutes. I'm not getting my hopes up though.
Yea it was a against Senegal, but he dominated like he should have against them. Obviously minutes are hard to come by for him because of the team situation, he's not neccesarily the best big guy defensively or on the glass against some other teams,. Also against the better teams he wouldn't usually get the same scoring oppurtunities, and would need iso's, which wouldn't work so well with the team.

Elton, Carmelo, Howard, and Battier are still ahead of him right now, so he won't be getting more than 13-15 MPG.
Slamonline.com has a daily blog of each game the US is in cause Lang (who writes the blogs) watches every single one of those games and makes key points/notes on them. In his notes, he stated that Chris Bosh couldn't get anything going on when he was watching (which he stopped watching after some point in the 3rd quarter) and the user comments suggested that he got most of his points in essentially the "garbage time". Take it for what you want, but I think Bosh's confidence seems to have taken a hit or something. Lang has repeatedly mentioned that Bosh seems to be the most "lost" player on the rotation and seems very unsure of himself when he steps out on the court to represent USA. Either way, I don't give a crap how the US does, as long as Bosh doesn't get injured. Far as I'm concerned, I don't mind him being benched a lot either.
It's obviously not going to easy going up against his teamates for minutes. Whether or not it was garbage minutes, I don't care, he scored 20/10, that's a fact.
