<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Only six weeks to the start of NBA training camps. Will second-round draft pick Dee Brown be in Boise, where the Jazz will once again go to get ready for the season? No, I'm guessing. Brown is the second-round pick out of Illinois who is being asked to make the difficult transformation from collegiate shooting guard to professional point guard. While Brown had some eye-opening moments during the Rocky Mountain Revue summer league — mostly because of the range on his jump shot — his play was generally disappointing. He had a difficult time keeping other point guards from penetrating, and he seemed uncomfortable in the role of primary ballhandler. Unlike their other second-round pick — Louisiana Tech forward Paul Millsap — the Jazz have not signed Brown to a contract. I don't think they will, either. Brown probably wants some guaranteed money that, right now, the Jazz are unwilling to give. While Brown obviously wants to play in the NBA, he might have to go overseas to get a guaranteed contract. At the same time, he could get a chance to perfect his point guard skills — perhaps setting himself up for an improved chance to stick in the NBA in a couple of years. — Steve Luhm</div> This is interesting. I couldn't get a link because I got this off Hoopshype, and I don't seem to be able to find a link anywhere. Anyways, take it for what it's worth. Any thoughts?
i think this is more of an opinion article than a actual article i saw it on hoopshype to ill try to get a link
http://blogs.sltrib.com/jazz/2006/08/brown...in-jazz-for.htm a tip while getting articles on hoopshype with no link you right click then go to properties and it will tell you the url hope it helps
Is there a possibility the Lakers could sign him as a free agent Id rather have him backing up smush than shammond williams...
I’m probably one of the biggest Dee Brown fans on this site, but bias aside it’s completely ridiculous to think/suggest that a player of his caliber would have to go overseas in order to end up in the NBA. Brown and the Jazz organization have both stated that although negotiations are taking longer than expected, there is nothing to worry about. So let’s see how this turns out.

Remember, we also have Jordan Farmar. Both are young, and raw players. There is no way we will spend the time developing two point guards. Plus, our roster is already stacked and we have no more room.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting SP23:</div><div class="quote_post">I hope Dee signs with the Jazz. But, whatever is best for him is fine with me.</div> He never was a good pick for us, I think he's too small for a Jerry Sloan type of player. IMO, he'd get pushed around by many PG's, even probably by Iverson.
