I think the most underrated point guard is Lamar Odom.......naw im just playing I think brevin knight and andre miller are. I didn't notice how good brevin was until went to the game where the bobcats played the lakers{but then again its probably b/c we didnt have anyone to guard him, but he is really a good pg but I guess his team is so bad and everyone is more focused on a younger raymond felton he doesn't get the recognition. And with andre miller I think he's been underrated every since he didn't meet the expectation of him leading the clippers to some wins. But he has done a good job with the nuggets.
I'd say Mike Bibby strictly as a passer, because of his long time on the Kings, many have forgotten that he's a capable 8 APG guy in this league. I think Arenas is a little underatted in that he lacks the same exposure as any other guy scoring 29 PPG, but more hardcore respect him.
I have to put Kirk Hinrich up there as one of the most underrated. How many PG's out there are as good as a 2-way PG as him? Billups is the only one I can name, who's the best 2-way PG in the NBA. You can say Kidd, but I rather have Hinrich's 1-on-1 D than Kidd's at this point of his career. He's also a fine offensive PG and is mature on the court beyond his years.

He plays great defense, something you don't see out of young guys nowadays. He's, as you stated, very mature. He's a great leader. He hustles. He can score in multiple ways. He's a very good point guard, but due to the fact that we have the JKidds and Nashs of the league, his accomplishments have been overlooked.
I was going to say Hinrich, but I have no clue how people percieve him. I personally love the guys game, especially on the defensive end, and he's a very composed guy.
I may be biased but I say Baron Davis. Everyone has written him off already. When healthy he can dominate. Chris Paul got ROY Nash got MVP again Baron's gotta be motivated In a very bad season he was second in the league in apg on the worst team, not to mention the coach sucked. But! http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2565022 Hopefully Baron being healthy and Nellie coming back make a difference
I definitely agree with the people who mention Kirk Hinrich. Whereas people have suddenly started proclaiming Chris Paul as the point guard of the future, Hinrich has been doing the same things for the last few years, without the recognition.
People probably love Paul because of that crazy 22 PER in his rookie season, compared to Kirk's 13 PER.
Andre Miller. Even though almost everything he chucks up outside of 10 feet is going to brick, he's still a solid scorer with good field goal percentage, a phonomenal passer, gets a lot of assists. Did you know that Andre Miller has missed only 3 games in his CAREER (Seven Year Career)? And currently has played 82 games in each of his last 3 seasons. Ouch, what other PG can you find with that kind of durability. Brevin Knight is very underrated too. Gets so many assists even though he's on Charlotte's team, a good defender too, especially for his size. Never seems to win games though.
Deron Williams. He's not putting up the numbers that someone like Chris Paul does, but I think he needs a lot more recognition than he gets.
