The ravens wont let Jamal Lewis go because of 1 subpar year....Curtis Martin will be a Jet until he doesnt want to be anymore....Priest Holmes will likely be a free agent....Larry Johnson played too well to not make him the full time starter....

First, I would like to personally welcome Cowher&Frown Co. to the forums.

The Ravens will probably put a franchise tag on Jamal Lewis, Curtis Martin could retire in the off season and Priest Holmes has probably has 1 or 2 two more seasons before he decides to retire.

Curtis Martin is about to become a 3rd down back, ala Marshall Faulk and Jerome Bettis.
    Jamal Lewis should be fine.
Priest Holmes' age is working against him. He might have one more good year in him, but I predict a departure from the Chiefs soon.

    ditto lol

as for Curtis Martin hes gonna stay a Jet he'll take a pay cut and he wants to stay a Jet until he retires. The Jets do not have a friendly cap and if Martin wants to stay hes not gonna get a good contract. Hes getting old and yea hes not a third down back hes gonna split time with whatever running back the Jets get from the draft or maybe free agency

    BAD????

Martin and Holmes are still great. Holmes may need to end his career from injuries though. Martin is still prolly in top 5 runners in league. hes great, he has about 4 more years in him

I'm not too sure on Holmes. He seems to have Barry Sanders syndrome (Doesn't really LOVE the game). He hinted at retirement before. Immediately following the injury this year he said he would most likely return, because he did not want his swan song to be swimming away with a broken wing.

Now that Larry had rightfully taken the starters position though, I'm not sure whether or not Priest would return in a diminished role. I think he will either be back with the Chiefs for one more year as a situational player, or he will retire. I can't relly see him leaving. Besides, he was a good running back in Baltimore, but he wasn't dominant until he was running behind Roaf, Waters, Wegmann, and Shields. Priest knows which side his bread is buttered on.

while i do agree with you that they are good now you cannot deny that they Martin has slid from the breakout play and dependablity that he once had. Holmes in my opinion is not at all playing with passion like the chiefs fan said. i doubt if he will be back with them or even picked up during the off season. They need to retire.
