Since the other thread hasn't been posted in for nearly two months, I thought I should make a new thread for it. Hopefully this thread will keep going like the "most overrated MCs" thread.

    In no order:

    1. Big Daddy Kane: Argueably the most talented MC....ever (not the best though FYI). Lyrically, he moved at a fast pace rolling punchlines and metaphors off the mouth freely. In Cyphers and crowds, no man could ever ***** with Kane, not even (IMO) the GOAT MC Rakim, except on wax. But no one can burn Big D. He was really unappreciated in his time and people branded him a sell-out, little did we know nearly 2 decades later, 98% of hip hop's content is about getting women and soften choruses. Of course, they had less complex multis and verses dumbfounded of knowledge..

    2. Melle Mel: Most overlooked MC of all time.

    3. AZ: Look up "life's a b*tch" and listen to AZ just killed the song from beginning to end.

    4. Inspectah Deck: The rapper many feel is the "unsung hero" of the Wu. But, i'm sure many people already knew that...

    5. Kool Mo Dee: One of the architects on MC'ing.

Add some fellas yu feel are underrated.

Pharoah monch and Kool G Rap are both GOOD, okay, but both of those guys are kind of one trick ponies. Kool G Rap has the same delivery a lot, and Pharoah Monch has the same antics in most of his raps.
But yea Ras Kass is definitely a great rapper. Its not his fault he has no sense of what would make a hit song or he's not interested in making a big hit record.

Your right, he's a lyrical phenomenon, I didn't think it was possible to say "Mike Jones" 765 times in one song. [IMG]

Alot of the rappers mentioned above still get credit. Definitely no where near as much as they should get, but they still do.

G Rap > BDK...BDK was great but I can't say that he was better than Ra, Kris, or G Rap

He's overlooked in a general sense, but within the hip hop I think he gets his just due.....an older homie of mine can't stand Mel, because he said he bit Kurtis Blow's flow.....personally I recognize his greatness and importance, but I think there are plenty of other MCs who are better.

And because of the fact he has little to no talent at all. Anyone can rap about shoes and name drop, which is Games entire subject matter.
