<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">NBA history has dictated that having a dominating center can mean the difference between regular season success and championship glory. In retrospect, where would San Antonio be without David Robinson, a Lakers squad missing Wilt Chamberlain, or a Celtics dynasty without Larry Bird.</div>

    (a) David Robinson didn't lead San Antonio to championship glory ... Tim Duncan did
([IMG] It took the Lakers four years to win a championship with Wilt Chamberlain, and he was no longer the dominating force he used to be by that time
&copy; Larry Bird obviously was not a "dominating center"

Those are just bizarre examples. Bill Russell, Wilt Chamberlain (in Philadelphia), Kareem (in Milwauke), Moses Malone, and Hakeem Olajuwon would have made more sense.

I will say this Yao will need to be the dominant force he can be in order for us to win a title, but when the game is in it's closing seconds I still want the ball in Tmacs hands.

Yao will need to take on the rest of the league. And tmac is going to be the one doing that with yao at his side.

I have no clue why Yao's even in this article, he's not a center...

in the article its making bird seem like a center, i think if yao plays like he did at the end of the season the rockets could be a championship contendor
