Gold medal: USA defense is considered top 2 at least and gets many turnovers. Greece is a passing team. They are gonna turn the ball over to the USA. US wins
Silver: Spain cant beat USA in finals
bronze: Vspan shows ginobili whos the best athletic mutha sucka in the NBA.

I think USA beats Spain in the finals and Argentina beats Greece in the 3rd place match.

lol, you could say it was a coaching error for the pick and roll the game, then you can also say if they didnt miss the free throws, but also greece is a great team, if you have to point out a reason that us lost (other than greece is a great team) its a mixture of the free throw shooting but that wouldnt of been bad if coach k would of stopped the pick and roll, he should of put brad miller in the game he would of been perfect for stepping up and playing perimeter D and inside, bosh too (but bosh was getting man handled down low)

^ If Team USA with Bron, Melo and Wade can't win it, I really don't think a bottom feeding team like the Raptors stand a chance, new roster or not.

are you insane?[IMG] . coach k is among the best coaches of our generation. i cant say that i saw the game because i fell asleep, but i cant imagine the loss being completely his fault. the players have to take some blame to, but, like i said, i didnt see it so maybe coach k did screw it up, but i hope not.

Ya, but the point here is that do you think a bunch of NBAers, who have played together for a much longer time together would do better in the olympics or fiba than a bunch of allstars put together. I mean, its obvious USA is not losing on talent, but their inability to play and defend as a team. However, a regular NBA team would know how to play with each other and defend much better. And to remind you, any NBA team should be as good talent wise as any of these international teams.

I still doubt it. Very few NBA teams have a consistent roster from year to year. A team like the Raptors, who has had major turnaround, would probably have less experience than Team USA. That idea doesn't really work. I doubt any team in the NBA has had more experience playing with each other than some of these European teams. The way USA is building there team right now is how it should be.

I think if you take any NBA team during the middle of the season and they would win that tournament. Although greece's offensive execution was impressive lastnight, I just think if the USA had more time to institute a complex offense (instead of iso and pick and roll) and for them add some defense eg. a matchup zone they would win it.

here are Garbajosa and Calderon's lines from lastnight:

    Garbajosa(36): 19 points 4 for 12 fgm/fga. And 8 of 9 from the foul line. 4 rebounds.

    Calderon(22): 7 pts, 0 assists
