I don't know I listened to Ritual De Lo Habitual and it still doesn't appeal to me. I still think their lead vocalist has a whiney ass voice that sounds like he got one of his testicles chopped off. Maybe it's just me.
I got a question for you, Voodoo. At what age did you notice that your music tastes started to change? Have you always liked the same stuff? When I was younger I went through the pop phase like most middle schoolers and then I moved into rap but grew tired of it. Now as I enter my second year of high school, it seems like I'm starting to like more rock and the type of music that you are listening too. The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Sublime, and The Raconteurs are all really good and groups that I enjoy listening too. Another group I like is the Goo Goo Dolls. I'm not sure if you guys like them but some of their songs are pretty good.
I went through a similar phase. I started out liking anything that sounded good, then I went strictly hip hop. Now I think it's pure garbage. All I listen to really is rock.
Anybody, I can't put a damn name on this song. It's on the RHCP live DVD. Frusciante sings part of it after they do Around the World. Here are some lyrics: Mary if I hold your hand, you will understand and Mary if I kiss your lips I'll be at your command I've heard that so many times, I just can't recall the name. Anybody?
I definitely went through a couple phases too, from pop rock when I was like 12-14, then into Limp Bizkit (ugh, God), KoRn, SoulFly, all that good stuff, and then when I was 16-17 I got into the "classic" rock stuff, Zeppelin, The Doors, the Who, all that. I think it's natural for someone's tastes to change as they go through life. Different music/lyrics mean different things to you at different points of your life, but the best part is that music never goes away and you can always find something that fits you at a given time.

Frusciante's great at taking songs like that and putting his own spin on them. He does an amazing cover of The Sweet's "Fox on the Run", a song I can't stand the original version of but wouldn't stop playing it when I heard Fru's take on it. I should send it to you next time I catch ya' online...
Haha, yeah I love when artists do that. Maynard incorporated some Elvis lyrics into Prison Sex a couple of times on tour.
I had a feeling he didn't sing that. I remember, back when I was littler, my neighbor used to always play that song. That's why it sounded so familiar! Thank you Voodoo. Yeah, next time you catch me online, you need to send me a lot of stuff.
I too would like to listen to your opinion about Audioslave. Rage Against the Machine is one of my favourites at the moment and I haven't listened to Audioslave enough to how they sound.
Chevelle was good back in the day. I remember when I seen them live in 1997 at a festival near Gurnee when they were still young teens. After they went to a bigger label I just think their music went south.
Voodoo, I presume that you're moving to your university, but I have another question. Your favorite 10 vocalists, in Rock and overall. I know you're a huge fan of Alicia Keys, so I bet she'd make your overall list, but what about rock vocalists, as well?
