As a fellow Australian, he did more to put this country on the map overseas than anyone here, including the government and various sporting stars. Even if he wasn't everyone's cup of tea, you can't help but admire his zest for life and absolute passion in doing what he loved, which was working with animals. Did an exceptional amount of charity work too. The world has lost a fantastic bloke. RIP Steve.
Definitely an incredible guy who went way before his time should've came. I honestly thought the guy was invinceable when it came to working with animals but it goes to show that no one can truly control a wild animal. Look at Roy getting mauled by the tiger. Anyways, RIP Steve.
How ironic is it that he has taken on the David character as he has conquered the Goliaths of the animal kingdom and yet it was a stingray who ended the life of the monumental figure? He may have been a weird duck but he was entertaining. RIP
