Kobe's been lifting again. I'm expecting a stellar post game from him this year.

Kobe's been muscle the year Shaq was traded, then decided to take some off to allow him to be more mobile and explosive on the perimeter?

Yeah. I know he put on a lot of muscle. But it slowed him down on the perimeter. So he did a rigorous speed, running workout over one summer.

This summer, he couldn't run/jump (his knee), so he hit the weights hard.

If Kobe's bulking up again, is it safe to assume he'll be in the post a lot more on offense?

He does a rigorous workout plan, the 6-6-6 plan. I'm sure Shape can explain it. I had a PM from another member that detailed it perfectly.

I think we can expect a lot more driving and post play from him this year.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"><font color=""Red"">Using a standard called the Body Mass Index (BMI), the federal government places these fine-tuned athletes in the official "fatties" category by taking only height and weight (not muscle mass) into consideration. A BMI over 25 is "overweight" and one higher than 30 is "obese," according to the Center for Consumer Freedom.

Lakers guard Kobe Bryant takes the prize at 6'6", 220 pounds. Those stats give the scoring champ a BMI of 31, earning him the title of "obese."

Dude, it's so easy for these guys.

They have so much money that they can eat whatever they want, whenever they want.

They got trainers and nutritionists telling them eat this, eat that. Train this, train that.

Basically they have all the hard work done for them, in my opinion.

I don't want anyone telling me different, I know how it goes down.

These guys get paid to eat, train, and sleep. It does however take a lot of discipline and dedication.

Exactly. I could be buff, cut, and in shape easily if I had their lifestyle and trainers...

I think another reason he's buffed up is becuase Phil is planning to use him at SF a lot this year.
