<div class="quote_poster">Quoting huevonkiller:</div><div class="quote_post">Uh, whatever, more over simplification. What original point did I not prove btw? And it is obnoxious the way you whine about going off topic, that's not being sensitive, but rather, being annoyed. You did not simply disagree with my opinion, hah.</div>
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting huevonkiller:</div><div class="quote_post">Well that depends, I don't know if I have permission from Mr. Chutney to post here.</div>Well, if I read a thread topic/article, I expect the posts in that thread to address that issue. Not an arbritary issue that is somewhat related to it. When I called you out for being off-topic, you disagreed with me for some reason. Now you're acknowledging that your point was irrelevant. Doesn't seem to be much else to say. You could have saved a lot of time, by just being consistent.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting deception:</div><div class="quote_post">u guys brought the notion of the caliphate, something that many people believe that muslims so dispersed by cultural and language need for unity. well a recent CIA paper released apparently states they plan to establish a caliphate in the next 30 years to act as an moral lynchpin to keep order. it does two things, it establishes what is: permissible (free trade) and not (terrorism) </div>
As always, the more powerful/wealthy countries dictate the rules by which less powerful/wealthy can progress. It's such a contradiction, as they expect these nations to abide by rules that they never did.

I don't think it is irrelevant nor does it matter. Let the mods handle such posts in the future.

i don't think thats such a bad idea, love your passion but the islamic world needs an ideological kick in the pants. every major religion at some level has had a reformation, think about it- at 1500 years christianity had the protestant reformation, well its year 1500 for islam.

Definitely don't disagree with you. But it seems it is the sad truth of our world, that currently developing religions and nations cannot enjoy the liberties that past ones did.

EDIT: I originally wrote I didn't agree with you, when I meant disagree.

really, whats so appealing about islamic societies? im not talking about islam itself but the societies in which they operate. there are hundreds of countries that are desperately poor but they don't operate under draconian laws.

edit myself: i see your edit and u are right at some level, u might want to read about globalization if your passionate about western paternalism

It's one of my stronger beliefs about global politics and thanks for the recommendation. I realize that some of my opinions are generalizing/simplistic, but that's just because I'm relatively new to these type of debates.
