Young is the best dual threat QB I've ever seen in college. He has more potential coming out than Culpepper, McNabb, and Vick.. He goes against a former defensive coordinator and he goes off like he did last night. 30-40 in passing. He played nice against the Buckeye defense which is solid. Young should declare and is worth a top 3 pick!!

What's up with Young's goofy delivery? He looks like he's shot putting the ball or something...

Yeah that and adjusting to under center are his only downfalls right now.. I don't think delivery is that big of a deal.. Kurt Warner has kind of a side arm throw..

As for White over Bush.. Bush still had more total yards than White last night and Bush played "bad"...

Philip Rivers is a side arm QB, Young throws the ball like Micheal Vick, he throws it all with his wrist. I was amazed how accurate Vince Young is. He is probly gonna end up better than Micheal Vick

he will be much better than Michael Vick, 200 rushing 260 passing 3 TDs thats nuts and 30/40 is very telling of how unlike Mike Vick he is

His throws are so sloppy. He needs to work on his mechanics and needs to get some more arm strength. He will do okay in the NFL but he needs to learn to stay in the pocket for at least 70% of the time and not start running. Basically the whole "Vick" thing.

His throws are far from sloppy. He is a very consistent QB that led the nation in passing effiecency.. He's far from a sloppy passer. His only downfall is his release but does that really make a big difference in the long run.. and of course going from a pure shot gun to a under the center.

Young is a way better prospect than Mike Vick.. This draft is loaded this year.

Especially in the QB department. Last year was the Wide Recievers I think...

I, too, noticed that VY's mechanics weren't textbook. I wonder will all the experts make a big deal about it like they did w/ David Carr?

I was quite skeptical of VY before the game and am less so now but still not sold. Someone recently posed the question what happens when he gets to the NFL and has even less time to throw?

I can see him working on whatever he lacks to be the best he can. What I do like is his attitude and the way he keeps composed. I'd be interested to see how he'd handle a prima donna receiver like Moss, Keyshawn, or TO?

Looks like he might be going to the Saints. Maybe Horn has something to say?

the delivery is unconventional for sure, but in the end, it doesnt matter...what matters is where the ball goes in relation to the reciever....if you focused on the two sides of a Bernie Kosar pass, you got a similar feel....the camera focused on Kosar saw a ridiculous delivery that couldnt possible be successful, but the camera focused on the reciever saw a very tight spiral put in a spot only the reciever could get it....as far as being better than vick, thats not a lot to live up too....he reminds me more of Culpepper than Vick....Vick is small and fast, Young is big and fast....Young is much more likely to develop into the pocket guy with wheels than Vick, who i predict will be out of the league in 3 more seasons....forever to be known as one of the biggest busts ever....

They were saying on the Dan Patrick show that some NFL player personnel do not think is all that great. Their issue is not mechanics but speed.

You get slower when you get to the NFL as the players are faster than your average college.

I cant imagine any NFL guy being upset with his speed....hes in the top 5% of NFL QBS as far as speed and athletic ability, so if he can actaully operate in the pocket, it can only help him....i dont think NFL personnel people value footspeed of the QB very highly anyway....its certainly not the dinner, at best its the gravy....and in Mike Vick's case, its the appetizer that fills you up and prevents you from getting to the dinner.....

Im saying that if he does have any nutritional value(i.e substance), we havent seen it because he plays a fluffy marshmellow style of football....as a QB, Vick is a joke....hes pathetic even....I wouldnt give up a conditional 7th for him, with the condition that I actually get the pick instead of giving it up....

In essence, you are implying that 4 out of 5 Dentists do not recommend the Vicks while watching football.
