<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">As mentioned below, former Blazers guard Steve Blake has been scrimmaging at the Blazers practice facility over the past two weeks. He has remained in Portland after his trade to Milwaukee because his wife is due to give birth later this month. Blake said it hasn't been weird playing and training in his former team's gym. "I don't have any bad blood with anybody here,'' Blake said. "We all get along, we are all friends. I enjoy being here now as much as I did when I was on the team.'' Blake said he has been out to Milwaukee, where he has worked out with the team's coaches. "I'm happy. I'm happy where I'm at, and I'm looking forward to a good season,'' Blake said. "And I'm looking forward to coming back here, too.''</div> Source
I'm also happy with this acquisition. I love Blake as a backup 1; he manages the game, doesn't get sloppy, can play at various tempos, has a solid jumper, and seems to make plays when you need him to most, even though he's never the go-to guy. I feel very secure knowing that he and Bell are on the roster as point men. Oh, and I almost forgot: for the first time in awhile, I must give kudos to Mr. Harris for reacquiring Skinner! I never wanted him to leave, and I'm glad to have him back. The guy's nothing special, but there's something I really like about that ogre of a post man. Hopefully he bounces back to his 03-04 form for us this year and gives us valuable minutes off the bench on defense and on the glass. Now all Harris has to do is trade Ruben Patterson for Dez Mason, and he'll be 100% back in my good graces
