<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Ed Stefanski thinks the Nets will be fine this year if one of their five young players steps up and provides what last year's bench could not--a spark. The two most likely: Antoine Wright or Marcus Williams. On Tuesday, Stefanski and Lawrence Frank handicapped this year's bench, noting that it couldn't be much worse than last year's. As for Mile Ilic, Stefanski said he hopes to "pamper" the Serb seven-footer, noting he needs to adjust to the NBA game and improve his lateral movement. </div>

I don't know about anyone else, but I think that Mile will turn out to be an excellent shotblocker.

Wright sucks, I give up all hope in him. But Willaims could flat out ball.

Of course we'd need one of them to step up, but that's not the only problem. We need consistent bench play from spots 6-9. Williams seems the one more likely to step up. I'm not so sure about Wright though. He looked awfully confused out on the floor last year, even more so than a lot of the younger rookies from last year. His shot wasn't going in either. He'll get playing time if he does what he's told and hustles on both ends. Hopefully having House and Adams there can fire him up.

Isn't that a little harsh? I just think he needs mins and some time to adjust to them. Then we can really base our judgement on him.

It doesn't matter how well Wright or Williams play, we still need another legit pf, especially with Boone injured.

He's not gonna get time with Carter, Jefferson, and House on our roster.
