Raptors Remove Purple

hopefully we get the all black with white numbers/letters and red trim as our alternates

 

An era is officially over. No more purple.

 

NOO.. not another team with red jerseys. Too many teams are changing colors. The Cavs, Rockets, Jazz, Nuggets, and now the Raptors are going to make me sick of seeing red and blue.

 

I do agree that the red lacks in uniqueness, but red and white are the national colours, so I don't really see the change as trying to imitate the other teams even though there are a lot of teams with red coloured jerseys.

Well...we're not changing colors...we're just getting rid of one

I'd prefer it if we had the Rockets color scheme (fits well with the whole Canadian theme).

red in our jersey's isnt a new thing mang

He means to many teams have jersey that are either red or blue.

 

You can say that for every sport.

 

WHOA? Raptors are training at UW? HOLLER. And this isn't exactly a well kept secret. I think they are making a mistake though, their branding(logo, court, colours, jerseys) were on point. They should have done a complete overhaul and still kept purple as an accent.

 

i say bring back the old uniforms... jus kidding, although, i do want a zan tabek jersey

I like the Red unis, they're sweet and simple. Although they lack oraginality.

 

Thank god we are red like the Rockets, Heat, Hawks and Bulls......I was tired of being PURPLE like the KINGS, BUCKS, LAKERS, SUNS.

 

man, I totally want to bring back our original jerseys. Those things rock!

I guess the red thing is fitting, but just doesn't seem as distinct.

Oh, thought you might of been. Purple+Red just don't goto together anymore for the Raps anyways. We've been in the process of changing color to Red slowly over the past couple of seasons (New jersey, new court).

 

Anyone know when they're gonna reveal it? Or are they just gonna reveal it on the first game?
