As interested as Houston may be in Wells, the Rockets have just $2.1 million of their mid-level salary cap exception to offer Wells unless they can negotiate a sign-and-trade deal with the Kings and use a $4.2 million trade exception acquired in an earlier trade. The Bobcats, meanwhile, finally have full availability to the salary cap after being limited to two-thirds and three-fourths of the salary cap, respectively, in their first two seasons. This season, the NBA salary cap is $51.135 million. Since Charlotte has the most salary cap space available among the team?s vying for Wells? services, they will have the opportunity to simply outbid their competitors. Wells would seem to fit the Bobcats? hard-nosed defensive attitude while also bringing some offensive firepower to a franchise that has often struggled to score points in its first two years of existence. Even though a Swingman isn't a glaring need now..Wells would be a great signing, but I highly doubt he'd sign here.

I am definitely apposed to giving a 30 year old Bonzi a 5 year 30+ million contract. I'd rather save that money for the next off-season, when their will be much better FA's to go after.

The starting lineup would be Felton Bonzi Wallace Morrison Okafor Brezec nth man: B. Knight It would be a pretty sweet starting line there, Bonzi brings the experience, Wallace brings the energy, and Morrison brings the shooting. Where n = 7

The Bobcats could use Bonzi, but he doesn't really fit the makeup of this team, and I don't think Charlotte is ready to invest in a long term contract with Bonzi. However, since the Bobcats are one of the few teams with cap room, they could take advantage by adding a pick, expiring contract, or young player by working out a sign and trade with a team who wants Bonzi. The three teams interested are Denver, Miami, and Houston. Denver would be getting some more talent at the SG position, and it gives Charlotte a chance to draft a guy like Taylor Hansbrough(basing this on his current stock) later in the 1st round(as Denver will likely have a low pick.) , which gives us a good quality big man that can work both the Power Forward and Center positions, and gives us some better depth at the big man positions. Then earlier in the 1st round shoot for a young talent like Bill Walker (once again, basing it on current stock)or Yi Jianlian(would definately attract the chinese fans) and just grab a guy like Reyshawn Terry(to provide with more 3pt shooting) in the 2nd and it's shaping up to be a nice team in the 2007-2008 season: C-Brezec/Hansbrough/Hollins PF-Okafor/May/Hansbrough/Jianlian SF- Morrison/Wallace/Terry/Jianlian SG- Wallace/Walker/Carroll/Terry PG- Felton/Knight/FA Signing A seemingly more athletic, better perimeter shooting, young team if I say so myself.

Oh Well he went were he would have success instead of going somewhere he could have gotten playing time. Houston has a bit of a logjam at the wing with TMAC, Wells, Battier and Head.
