The Americans will participate in the 2007 FIBA Americas tournament (currently scheduled for next August in Venezuela) and need to finish in the top two to qualify for the '08 Olympics. <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Carter:</div><div class="quote_post">I would love for Kidd to play on team USA. They would kill any team.</div> Yea but then again he is trying to win a championship, and playing during the summer would put more mileage on his legs. I would like him to be on Team USA but not before he wins a championship. Being on Team USA is a big deal, but then again he would be wasting a lot of energy instead of resting for the upcoming season. If he was 26 it wouldn't be as big of a deal, but he is 33 and getting older.
He's too old. He needs to concentrate on staying healthy so he has keeps his chances of winning a chip.
