<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">ORLANDO - He could have been long gone by now, off collecting retirement checks and working on his second career as a real estate mogul or possibly even the owner of an NBA franchise. But instead Grant Hill has spent yet another summer tucked away in a gymnasium, desperately clinging to the hope that for once during his time with the Orlando Magic, his body will not fail him. This summer hasn't been much different for the fallen superstar small forward -- again he's been forced to rehabilitate from injury and wonder if he'll ever be able to recapture the glory and brilliance that used to seemingly ooze from his every pore. But this summer is different. For the first time in a long time, Hill isn't hobbled with pain or haunted with doubt. A season after he was frustratingly in and out of the lineup again for the Magic because of painful tears in his lower abdomen, Hill committed himself to working most of the summer with famed physiotherapist Alex McKechnie. For 10 weeks this summer, Hill left his family behind and traveled from Orlando to Vancouver, British Columbia, to work with McKechnie on a mission to relieve the pain that sometimes made breathing a problem. McKechnie has worked with some of the most famous athletes in all of sports, from Shaquille O'Neal to Steve Nash to Terrell Owens and Matt Leinart. And now that's he's back on the court, blowing by defenders and dunking again, Hill is a believer that he will head into this NBA season healthy. "I've fought through a lot just to get back to this point and I think that kind of shows how much I love to play the game," Hill said. "I feel great now, and I want to stay healthy for an entire season. I want to play as long as I can stay healthy. But if anything, I've learned that you take it one day at a time."</div> Source
i mean he said he felt great last time. His legs are still young. but the injuries just wont go away. We all love hill but to mr hes been a liability to the magic and probably will continue to be.
IMO hill is a lot more important to this organization than most people think. he is going to be the glue for this team during the upcoming season. he is the last veteran left that will get significant minutes. dwight also looks up to him and looks to him for advice. i really hope that hill does make it through the whole season, but i also think that he shouldnt force himself to try to play every game and brian hill should also limit his playing time and make sure that grant takes care of his body so that when the magic are in the playoffs, grant hill can lead them to a championship.
dare we get our hopes up? i think not...every year i go in hoping he's going to be healthy and what happens? he disappoints...well this year im using reverse psychology
6 surgeries later? Didn't he say that he felt great after the first/second/third/fourth/fifth one? I think its safe to say that no one is expecting a 75 game season from this guy, but I'll remain cautiously optimistic about his health.
Grant is still one of the most important guys on this team, even if he doesn't play a full season his leadership is great for a young team like Orlando. If you watch the games Grant plays in you will notice that he is constantly talking to the young guys (especially Dwight and Jameer) not to mention When he does play he is still instant offense and he can play 3 positions. I hope Grant can get back to the way he way 2 years ago (playing most of the season) When he is healthy he is still a top 20 player IMO.
He always satys this yet he still gets injured and can't play as good. He gets my vote for most injury prone player in the NBA.

Can you imagine how good this team would be had Grant never been injured? Jameer, Redick, Hill, Darko, Dwight. Man, that would be amazing.
