Some guys can't shoot. Others can't stay healthy. We're talking about the best of the best here, too. Baron Davis has clashed with coaches and had problems with injuries. Allen Iverson, Stephon Marbury and Steve Francis have all been considered selfish. Jason Kidd has always struggled with his shooting. Chauncey Billups floated around for years before finally earning a shot. Two-time MVP Steve Nash has been criticized for his lack of defense. Contributing to the issue is that some of the college game's most consistent point guards never saw their games translate to the pros. In short, some have seen better days. Cross your fingers, but this is where the resurgence begins. Chris Paul, the No. 4 pick sandwiched between Utah's Deron Williams and Charlotte's Raymond Felton, is the NBA's next great point guard. He'll surpass Kidd, Nash and Gary Payton, generally considered the best of his predecessors </div> Let's wait and see, because I do see a lot of Kidd in him. His rookie numbers were pretty similar to Kidd's rookie stats. Of course that is only one season. However Kidd will be the greatest point guard for me.
I think that Chris Paul will be the best PG in the future. Right now Kidd is better until Paul proves me wrong.
Jason Kidd is one of Best PG in history. Kidd is right up there with Magic Johnson and John Stockton. Jason Kidd will be in the Hall of Fame. Chris Paul still has a lot to prove.

All three mentioned will be hall-of-famers (Nash deserving it the least), but it's very possible for Paul to surpass them. I haven't seen a rookie with this much poise, leadership, and intelligence in a long, long time.

Chris Paul has all ready shown similarities to Kidd. With his stats and all ready getting triple doubles in his rookie season. I'm pretty sure he'll surpass Kidd and Nash in a few years.
