If NY buys out his contract, do you think he would be a good pickup? I think so, the dude can still ball..he just wasn't fitting in NY. And unlike Salmons, he doesn't think he's Kobe. Plus he can log in minutes for us at the point. And plus he'd prolly want to re-unite with Webber also..so it's a thought. Our lineup would probably look like this:

    C-Dalembert
    PF-Webber
    SF- Rose
    SG- Iguodala
    PG- Iverson

Or...we could even go with a lineup like this:

    C-Dalembert
    PF-Webber
    SF- Iguodala
    SG- Iverson
    PG- Rose

Then just have Carney and Korver come off the bench. Thoughts?

I think that would be awsome. Jalen rose is definately a servicable player to say the least. This team needs another ball handler, setting up iverson and igoudala. I'm not so sure about his defense though...and that above all esle is exactly what this team really needs.

I don't think the Knicks would buy out Rose's 17 million dollar contract. Just too much money for someone who is expiring. Plus he's a valuable trade chip although we shouldn't think about adding anymore salary.

I really don't think it would help your team at all. Right now the complaint seems to be that the offense gets too stagnant with Iverson and Webber on the floor, predictable iso's, and not enough touches for players like Iguodala. Jalen Rose simply compounds that problem. He needs the ball to be effective and the majority of his points come off of isolations. When he doesn't get the ball as much as he needs, his lacklustre defense and overrated passing are exposed.

Those isolation matchups we had to use with Chris Webber and Allen Iverson, was mainly because I don't think Maurice Cheeks knew how to utalize what he had (and he had plenty, and has even more fire power this year). I think, that if Maurice Cheeks TRULY can tighten up and learn a few plays, we can move the ball around alot more effectively. In particular, we need to get Webber in the low-block, no more 20 foot jump shots, he rarely makes them, and when he does, we have to rush to get back on defense, it's like taking a 3pt pointer almost. So, yeah, we need Webber to become what he once was, if we're gonna be a better team.

The only reason Jalen would come to the sixers is to re-unite with Webber, so that wouldn't happen.
