Sometimes it's hard to differentiate whether someone is trying to be a smart-ass, sarcastic, or just being an a-hole.
While at the Long Beach Summer Pro League, I was hearing a lot of talk about Devin Green at the point. We all know how much Phil loves his big PG's. I don't know if he's capable of starting at the point but expect him to get some minutes there. Also, FSN's Jack Haley expects Farmar to be the starting point guard by at least mid-season but as for now, season opener, I would say the starting lineup most of you guys put is probably what they'll use except for Radmanovic possibly coming off the bench early on and Mihm might be in the starting lineup. Opening Day I would say: Smush Kobe Lamar Kwame Mihm
Interesting to see Mihm as the starting center. The old cliche in sports is you don't lose your starting job due to injury, but I don't know if it applies here. With Mihm in the starting lineup the Lakers were playing .500 basketball all season. Once he went down and Kwame became comfortable as the starting center the Lakers became one of the hottest teams in the league. It's hard to imagine PJax kills the momentum Kwame has coming into this season by putting him back on the bench. Kwame is the better post defender, and his offense should improve from last year. I'm not even sure Mihm is part of the long term plans for the Lakers team. His name was always mentioned in trade talks, and he's in the final year of his current deal without any talks about extensions.

We'll see though, they could use Luke Walton as someone else mentioned before me, until Vladdy gets adjusted. Should be interesting...
I think Vlad will be starting from day one. He may not be adjusted by then, but with him on the court, he'll give us a better lineup overall, with something like this: Smush Kobe Vlad Lamar Kwame I think that's the best overall lineup we can put on the court. We'll have a good rebounding frontcourt with Kwame and Odom. We'll have plenty of offense and won't be short on shooters this year either. The defense may or may not be good, especially with Radman and Smush. Neither of them have been stellar defenders or even good defenders as of yet in their career, and it might be hard to imagine them doing so this year. With Chris Mihm, I don't think he'll be starting. Kwame has proven that he's the better center with his play last year. He's strong as an ox, he's our best post defender, and he's a better rebounder than Mihm as well. The only thing Mihm does better is block shots and shoot FTs, otherwise, Kwame has him beat. I think his post game will be improved this year, which in turn will have his scoring going up as well. All in all, I think Mihm will be playing a backup role this year. Plus, if you look at last year, we had no success with both of them in the lineup and a lot of success when Mihm went down. To me, it's a no brainer that Kwame should be the starting center for this year.

Bronbron said Modern British english is the right version of english over American's version. I implied Shakespearean english (or older) is more proper version of english over modern British english. If you tell me what offended you I can edit it, and apologize. I just thought most people find Shakespearean english more difficult to use, so it would be funny if someone implied that we all should be using the older form of English. I could have used Latin under the same premise, because I think English is Latin-based, but most people wouldn't understand it. BUt I'm sure the way LUke performed in the playoffs he will get the starting role. If Smush doesnt win the starting line up in training camp, the position is up in the air. Wow! We are so deep in the bench...I'm staring to believe that will be in the WCF this season.</div> For the last damn time. We didn't pay Radmanovic 30 million to come off the bench. His teammates need to learn where he likes the ball, and he'll have to figure out how to get to his comfort spots within the offense. These things take time to develop, and with the competition out West, the Lakers can't afford to lose games early on because Radman isn't on the same page as the rest of the starters. <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Lakers4Life:</div><div class="quote_post">Shape. That's probably why we got Radman in the first place.
