O'Neal, a three-time Finals MVP, averaged a relatively modest 18.4 points and 9.8 rebounds per game.

But Riley compared O'Neal taking a back seat to guard Dwyane Wade, the Finals MVP, to Hall of Fame centers Wilt Chamberlain and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar taking similar roles late in their careers.

"He does get down on himself because he wants to dominate," Riley said. "But I think he's smart enough to realize he's got to pass the torch here a little bit. As long as other guys are producing and we're winning, he's going to play longer."</div>

i can see why hes not too happy with himself because he didnt play great, but its not like he sucked or anything, he still played alright and got the work done. hopefully him and d wade can play just as well next season and take us to another title.

Yeah they should do a swap of veterans before they go for the next title so these veterans who deserve titles can pick them up. It still hasn't sunk in that GP and Zo have titles.

His Finals performance was more modest than that:
    13.7 ppg, 10.2 rpg, 2.8 apg, 35 mpg.

they won, i guess thats all that matters, even thought the other team choked, heck the dallas cops who talked to t.o. even declared the dallas maverick performance a suicide attempt.
