Who would you rather have had the Lakers sign? Obviously they signed Devin Green but would you have prefered Laron Profit?

It depends on Profit's health. Can he play a full season after rupturing his achilles? I loved what Profit brought to the team early on in the season, but his was a serious injury and you have to wonder how effective he's going to be after surgery.

The dilemma here is the progress Devin Green showed during the summer leagues. Last year he couldn't buy a bucket from the perimeter, but this past summer he was lights out. Also Tex Winters is a big fan of his approach to the game and always praises the fundamentals and high IQ Green plays with.

I think you just have to look at the upside to the players here. Devin Green has a lot more good basketball in him than Laron Profit does. We have not seen the best of Devin Green yet and the Lakers coaches expect a lot from him starting this year and beyond.

Agreed, and I'm sure his upside is the reason the Lakers re-signed him. With the offseason additions and Kobe playing the lion's share of minutes on the wing, there isn't an immediate need. They can afford to continue Green's development.

Also Green is more equipped to replace Devean George's athleticism and defensive prowess. Plus Green has a brain out there on the court.

Good PoV's guys. I've been thinking about which I would have rather have signed and I think I'm settled with Green.
