I really like this deal. J-Mac is probably going to get bought out/waived/traded as early as next week, which leaves us with 3 great point guards, 2 of them young guys with a lot of potential. I really believe that this will work out.

Plus, Kidd isn't getting younger. He's 34 in March, and he can only play so much minutes as he gets older. This is a great move to plan for the future, as Kidd gets older and eventually retires, we'll have a great 1-2 punch at the PG.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting jefferson:</div><div class="quote_post">JUST THE FACT THAT HES PUTTING ON A NBA JERSEY MAKES HIM A HERO IN MY EYES</div>

Just because he recovered from doing a moronic thing doesn't make him a hero.

Now apparently the contract is non-guaranteed contract.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">NBA Broadband was there Thursday when Jay Williams put pen to paper and signed his non-guaranteed contract with the Nets. Williams offered his assessment of where he is in his comeback, how he still faces questions and how much satisfaction he would derive from putting on a uniform that reads 'New Jersey'. Lawrence Frank, while noncommittal about his prospects, says "Jason" is an inspiration. </div>
