Just when you think there's a team that you can fight with for those last spots, they go and catapult themselves into the upper teir of teams. Hopefully Bonzi reverts back to his franchise disrupting form

This does make the Southwest division much more difficult. It is better for us, as a Pacific Division team, that Gasol got that injury, so there is one team on the fall potentially from that division. Otherwise San Antonio, Dallas, Houston, and New Orleans seem to be on the rise.

I wonder what their rotation will be though, or who their starters will be. The team aquired both Bonzi Wells and Shaine Battier this offseason. It would seem reasonable that either Wells or Battier will become the 6th man for the team.

Maybe this starts the crumble of the Kings? I remember Artest really wanted Bonzi back, and now with a new coach (though one that I do respect in Musselman), this could be an interesting scenario for that team. It is tough to rate the Warriors within the division or even the confrence because in both everyteam has a shot at making the playoffs. It should be a fun season of NBA basketball.

To put it in perspective, his agent turned down 5 yr/36 mil and Bonzi fired him and his new agent couldn't get him anything so he's taking the 2 year deal (with 2nd year player option) to be on a winning team and he'll try to cash in again next year.

Uh... did you read the article? He was looking for more than 36 mil and failed.

    The current lineup will be
    yao
    howard
    battier
    tmac
    alston

Wells, Vspan, and Head will come off the bench for SF, PG, and sg positions respectively. Wells will be that spark the Rockets desperately need. If we put Battier at PF and wells at SG, then we don't have that spark and it decreases our depth factor. WElls coming off the bench benefits us in many ways.

First, when did CH said Houston is in the same level as the Golden State? Second, last time I check, Houston had same record as Warriors last year. Certainly, it's because of massive injuries Houston suffered. But, exactly what make you think that both TMac and Yao will be healthy this season?

If you want to have an intelligent conversation, you should make a better post. And, if you want to troll, at least quote it right...

Hopefully, this guy figures it out how to conduct himself in the future on an online public forum. As for reading comprehension...

Anyway, it's pretty simple to see how easily the Rockets can be exposed if they lose an inside or an outside threat like Yao and Tmac. Besides Yao, their big men lineup is not that young or not that skilled. And last time T-mac went solo, he lost quite a bit. Alston and Battier are all right but they are more like role players... Bonzi signing was good... but he can always start shooting cold (streaky) and being an undisciplined headcase. Maybe JVG will show him the door if he messes up.
