    Magic president Bob Vander Weide said that there has been "huge progress made" in negotiations regarding the financing of the $1.1 billion project.

    The Magic, which pledged its support behind the construction of all three facilities, is expected to contribute in excess of $100 million of cash, lease payments, operations costs and contributions.

    The Magic are also pledging to cover any cost overruns in the project and are vowing that there will be no surcharges added to existing ticket costs, Florida Today reported.

    "The good news is that we?re really close now,?? Vander Weide said. "There has been huge progress made and it?s just a culmination of a lot of hard work by many different groups.??

    An announcement from the city and county leaders could come as soon as today. A news conference has been tentatively scheduled for 2:30 p.m.</div>

    it's official baby...we're getting a new arena!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YESSSSSSSS!!!!!!! it's on the sentinel...there is also a picture of what it will look like once finished....i can't wait and hopefully by then we will have numbers 25 and 10 hanging from the rafters along with number 6 (the fans)
