I think that the Patroits will beat Denver, but they will come one game short of the Superbowl, if they face the Colts in the AFC championship game. If they face the Steelers they will go to the Superbowl and win 3 strait Superbowls.

Since this is "smack talk", what are our thoughts on Manning folding under pressure again, whether it be from Pitt, Denver, or NE? He is a damn good quarterback but he didn't look so "damn good" when they played San Diego.

Well, shit happens. I just hope that we can remain a good, strong team in the future. I still can't believe that the "playoff veteran" Pats had so many turnovers though.

I still think that the Patroits are a dynasty winning the Superbowl 3 out of 5 years. I would love that if the Vikings could do that.

The Vikings need to win ONE before they can worry about three out of five...

I overlooked the positive because of the negative but didn't the Pats score a TD on a 2 play drive to get to 13 points? I could have sworn that was a 2 play drive. If you think about it, the Broncos only "earned" so to speak 3 points in that game. 24 of their 27 was pretty much a direct result of New England turnovers. I did like the hit put on Champ Bailey though, that was great. The Broncos are a good team but they can't play like they did tonight and win the Super Bowl.

I know that, Patroits fans should be proud of their team even thought they lost.

I disagree. The Broncos earned their points by putting great pressure on Brady and forcing the Patriots to turn the ball over. Watson did show great hustle, but he and the rest of the Patriots will be watching the Broncos on TV next week.

I'm very disappointed in Tom Brady's postgame comments as well. Hearing him talk about how the Patriots made things easy for the Broncos is disappointing. The Patriots had a great run. It's a shame that they are going to taint that run by making excuses for losing. They should just give the Broncos credit for coming out and beating them and leave it at that. I would have more respect for the Patriots if they would show a little respect for their competition.

I see your point, but what about the dropped punts and fumbles? Pressure on Brady didn't cause those. The Patriots had good enough drives going that they would have probably scored if they didn't fumble. I think Brady passed for like 341 yards tonight.

Fumbling isn't a very good excuse for not scoring. If the Patriots can't protect the ball, then they don't deserve to win. Protecting the football is part of the game. The bottom line is the Broncos beat the Patriots tonight and no matter how many excuses are made, the Broncos are going to the AFC Championship Game and the Patriots are done until next season.

According to Tommy Boy, the media has been "disrespecting" the pats all year. To which I say, Lets hope Visa increases Brady's credit limit so he buy the Dwo barf bags & the city of Boston kleenexes.

Rodney Harrison coming back next year is gonna be huge. I think the pats will take a 1st round CB in this draft because that secondary got destroyed

I hope so. We need a secondary like we need oxygen, lol. Congrats to the Panthers, BTW, but they're going to lose to the Steelers in XL, lol.

I originally gave the Broncos a 50/50 shot at winning. Having known the Broncos would have given up over 400 yds of offense & only gaining a combined 96 yds on the ground I would have given them no chance. This game was an excellent example of how turnovers change the outcome of a game.

Congrats to the Broncos, but if I were a Denver fan I wouldn't feel too confident going into next week even though the mighty Colts have been eliminated. The Broncos gameplan will have to be drastically different against the Steelers as they have a solid running game where as the Pats were clearly forced to rely on Brady's arm.

I give the Broncos credit for rattling #12 from the start. But the fact remains the Pats beat themselves. Broncos simply took advantage. This doesn't bode well for Denver going into the AFC title game IMO.

As much as I disregarded the Steelers of having a chance in hell of beating the new greatest show on turf I find myself rooting for them now. I never would have imagined the Colts OL would get so overwhelmed. The Indy D was stunned early, but I figured the O would get it in gear. I kept waiting for the Colts to come back & with a little help from the zebras they almost did. Getting that early lead was so big, b/c it played right into the hands of what the Steeler D wanted to do. The Steelers showed signs of weakness in stopping the run in the 2nd half which allowed Manning & Co. the time they needed. This will have to improve against Denver, but I think if they go with a similar game plan on offense it could get the job done.

Unless Pittsburgh pulls a "Bettis" in this game, several times like we did, Denver will lose it. They can't stand up to Pittsburgh unless Pittsburgh doesn't stand up for themselves.
