Yeah I saw that on the Wizards Rankings thread. That's just crazy IMO, they are definately not going to be worse than the Hawks or the Knicks. I understand they think our defense is crap and how AI and Webber are getting older but Iguodala and Carney are improving and Carney is good addition for the defensive end.
ESPN needs to get checked...I don't know if the Sixers are going to make the playoffs but they'll at least be in contention. 29th? thats just ridiculous.
Seems a bit low. I've been down on the team the whole off-season, but number 29? Come on now. Iverson and Webber should at least get them in the top 25, maybe the top 20. Only time will tell though...
This is ESPN, so I don't really care about their opinions. 29 is way too low, but then again it's ESPN so what do you expect. They are the same company that once bashed Kobe because of his choice of words. (We or They)
ESPN'S Marc Stein really knows nothing of the game of basketball, the proof of his incompetence inlies at the beginning of the rankings: Teams like Memphis,Sacramento,Philadelphia all got poor ratings, but those ratings don't indicicate their talent, just their off-seasons. I guess the same can be said, for oh just about every team in the NBA this season. So Marc Stein really didn't take much look at the rosters, as much as he did the statsitics, which goes to show you why ESPN is losing out to ABC and TNT. At least they analyze teams and games.
