The new coach hiring counter is continuing to go up. The Vikings hired Kevin Rodgers, Virginia Tech's QB coach, as their new QB coach. Maybe he can teach Daunte how to stomp on linemen's legs while their down. Seriously, the coaching carousel is dizzying. We are also looking for a defensive quality control coach, running backs coach, linebackers coach, Offensive coordinator, possibly two offensive line coaches, and who knows who else. For the most part, all these guys will be new to the Vikings, and many of them will be new to their positions. Either this will be a huge success or a great failure. Knowing business, my guess is that it won't be a huge success.
I'm mystified. I have never understood what a quality control coach does & isn't that what the head coach is for?
You got me...I'm just as confused as you are on that one. I am also confused as to why we need two offensive line coaches. Does that mean they will be twice as good?
