So I guess they've "updated" the forums, although at the moment they look exactly the same, and don't work.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">This week, we are making updates on each ESPN message board. As a result, older messages and post counts will be reset.</div>

Am I imagining it, or did they just delete every post anyone has ever made? Unbelievable if true. For so many reasons, that has to be the worst online forum / bulletin board ever.

I have always hated the ESPN forums. They are so unorganized and a lot of the members don't care about grammar or backing up their opinions.

Quick question, what's the average age in this forum? A lot of your basketball IQ's are really high and I was just curious.

    I think it's around 20. I'm probably the youngest.

Maybe 20 to 30? I'm 26. Basketball is kind of a young people's game, but I'm sure we got older folks in their late 30's and older who actually remember and cared that the Warriors were actually making the playoffs. I didn't really care much about basketball until much later and I didn't know as much as I thought I did until meeting these group of people.

I think we've got a lot of people from espn here (some from sj merc board). I used to go to espn a lot but Rudeezy brought me in. I liked JBB better because of fewer "nothing" type posts, more detailed discussion (it helped me learn more about the game which can be complex and completely about observation rather than statistical figures). Espn also had lots of trolls that the moderators would not respond to when a post was reported. JBB almost always responded fast to reported posts. Plus, I like the user interface, features and pictures more. And Shapecity and the others made it a fun community to share discussion with other teams. Locke (Rockets forum), Voodoo Child (Grizzlie forum), and Mr. J (Knick forum) were very friendly when the Warriors forum wasn't too big. 3 or 4 years ago, I think it was just me, Rudeezy and Warriorsfansnc93 and we had no real discussion going on. And then guys like Clif, Kwan, Wtwalker, philsmith were really helpful in making it so the Warriors history facts were set straight and they upped the discussion level to a higher quality and learning experience. Then more and more guys came onboard that could make others relate to what they had to say. Then they also addded new things to the discussion. So it became bigger and better, I think. The guys who joined after '05 have been great too! Run BJM, AF, Carter have been tearing it up outside the Warriors forum.

I think this site is a good balance for what I'm looking for in features, people here, and everything loads up fast for me. RealGM is a slower site for me, had more ads, and there's often too much discussion going on it is hard to follow. Fewer high quality guys with ranging opinions makes it easier to get into rather than many people trying to talk all at once.

I was huge here for a while, then I dropped off. I'm going back to Air Pietrus soon, just depends on how he plays with Nellie.

Oh CABANGBANG, you were Air Pietrus? I remember you now.

I remember way back when you were J-Rich23. Didn't you used to make sigs?

I still do make sigs, I've been a huge rut and rust. I'll post a wall or two later if you want.

    Thx [IMG] [IMG]

I need to make some sigs as well. But like CBB aka air Pietrus aka Jrich23, I need some time to get inspired. Lately, nobody is franchise or untouchable and we just lost momentum since last year we failed to make the playoffs.

Well, there used to be a time when ESPN Warriors board was a great place to hang out. But, for some reason, it just deteriorate rapidly like cople years ago (mass immigrations to here must be one of the big reason [IMG]), and lost most of core members. Bit sad to see a shell of former glory.

Warriorsworld is a great place to get a news info, and I am amazed how fast they can get a scoop such as firing of Monty. But, they tend to be wee-bee bitter and hyper.

I like it here, because this place has great mods, people are educated, relatively polite to each other and relaxed.

One of the reason why Warriors fans seem to be intelligent is because we are surviving an ice age called 12 years of PO drought. Only hard core fans can survive in this condition...
