It's nice to see Bron and the rest of the cavs focused...if they stay healthy I think they have a legitimate shot at the title.

Never gonna happen...No offense to Cavs fans....but LJ is never going to win a championship with Cleveland.

The East is stacked with young superstars that will all be competing for a title in the next few years. LeBron, Wade, Dwight, Bosh, and maybe Morrison are all going to provide fans with many memorable playoff matchups in the decade.

It's just my personal opinion...not something I took time to think about...I just think he will never win with the Cavs. And like I said, no offense to Cavs fans. I just think he has a better chance with another team.

Well the cavs won 50 games last season with a rook coach, and john hollinger form espn is already picking them to win the ECF. Will they win it this year unlikely but i think they have as good a chance as alot of the top teams.

Looks like another Kobe fan boy........how are you going to make an honest "opinion" about something and not totally "think it through".....I'm not guaranteeing the Cavs will win the East this year, but I do believe they have a good shot....why you ask? (even though you didn't)

    1. They pushed Detroit to the limit last year and since that point the Cavs have imroved and the Pistons lost Wallace
    2. Chicago will be tough, but is Chi Town with Wallace any better than Detroit with Wallace?....Chicago has no inside scoring threat, so offensively they're basically a perimeter shooting team
    3. The Heat will be there again, but how will older players like Shaq, Payton, and Zo (who were vital last season) hold out this year?

Going by these reasons it looks like Bron "can" win in Cleveland.

Even though you guys lost Flip, the Cavs are going to be a strong team last year if everyone stays healthy. If Shaq and other aging heat players slow down this year Cavs will win the ECF.

Can someone elaborate on why Swish thinks Adam Morrison is going to even be remotely notable, nevermind giving fans something to look forward to for years?

The guy was a relatively accurate chucker in college with no defensive ability, limited leadership capabilities, and almost no other redeeming qualities, besides the fact that his team won games they shouldn't have. He has overacheiver written all over him.

And when Bosh makes it to the playoffs, ever, then I'll lend him some credence, but not until then. I'm only impressed with his individual effort, and then only because he seems to succeed in spite of his team and his coaching.

The East is not what it used to be (in the 80's, I guess), and some of these players are grabbing a disproportionate amount of the spotlight simply because of marketing hype. As for LeBron, he IS the real deal, and he will continue to succeed in this league, as he has so far. He has already succeeded beyond anyone's expectations for that team, in some cases singlehandedly. The more experience he gets, the more dangerous he'll become, and the more formidable any team with him on it will become.

Well I guess I'll be the person to elaborate since I made the initial statement. Adam Morrison isn't on the level of those other players but I was just thinking about the teams with a lot of young talent and the Bobcats were up there with the Cavaliers, Magic, and Raptors. Since Emeka Okafor has been riddled with injuries and hasn't shown he can lead a team, I figured Morrison would be the franchise player in Charlotte. I guess I should have said the Bobcats as a team are going to compete for a ring rather than naming a specific player to lead them since nobody has stood out so far. So many general managers labled Morrison as the next Larry Bird so I figured he would have the best chance to be their franchise player than the other guys in Charlotte. Maybe this statement was a bit premature since he hasn't stepped onto an NBA court yet.

Another Eastern Conference team that has a lot of potential is the Boston Celtics. With Sebastian Telfair, Gerald Green, Delonte West, and Al Jefferson all developing, they could be a force to reckon with in a few years.

First off, Adam Morrison is going to be a stud right out the gate. Mark it DOWN. He has the INTANGIBLE "IT" factor. If he doesnt' average 18, 7 rebounds and 4 assists, then he must be injured.

But this thread is about LeBron thinking he can win a title. He can - Even With This team but NOT because of the pieces he has around him, because the pieces he has around him ain't all that.

Larry Hughes is a hugely overrated player based on ONE all-star level season out of 8 or so....

Z is not what you think of when you think of a championship caliber center....

and who is their point guard again? Eric Snow? Solid but he's not exactly Nash or Kidd. He's hardly even Bobby Jackson.

LeBron CAN win in Cleveland though for 2 reasons:

EVERY YEAR he has improved in LEAPS and BOUNDS. Has he ever not lived up to expectations? NO. He has for the most part exceeded them. In his playoff debut, he was phenomenal. If he makes as big of a jump next year, they can contend, yes, even in June 2007.

HIS TEAM LOVES HIM. Is there a more popular franchise player amongst his own teammates? Not by a mile. Not even Nash. The Cavs are one demigod and 11 witnesses.

Speaking of Morrison, the dude really needs to just shave and cut his hair. He's starting to look more and more like a homeless man every day.

    ^Yeah, he is.

Besides that, I think Lebron can win a title with Cleavland. The East might be much stronger than it is right now, but James might be the best player in the east along with Wade. But the Cavs future is looking much more bright than the Heat's future. Shaq will be retired and contracts will expire. Many free agents would love to sign with the Cavs just to have the opportunity to play with Lebron James.

I'm hoping he grows it as long as possible. IMO, the only way he redeems himself for crying prematurely in college is by growing a beard.

I think his look is cool. Too many players style themselves the same way. This ain't the military.

It's cool that he's unique and all but when you start scaring children it could impact your team's ticket sales.

Its nice hearing LBJ say this. He can make it happen, there is a LITTLE chance it might. LBJ, we have yet to see his best.
