Is this really a good signing? Rahim and Thomas already cover the spot of PF or is Thomas more of a SF? I thought he might of signed with a team where he'll get more minutes or am I incorrect to think he'll play an insignificant amount?

I guess Loren Woods will be the 3rd string center.

Yeah but can Taylor be effective at C? Or is this for an occasional/experimental small line up?

The dude can't even rebound. What are the Kings thinking?

    He's got a nice J though.

You have to appreciate the injury history of this team. Mo Taylor is insurance, not IF, but WHEN Abdur Rahim, Miller, and Thomas get injured sometime during the season.

    No.

He's only 6'9" and shys away from the post. He prefers to just shoot midrange. He does have a nice shot though and he can be effective when he decides to actually decides to mix it up down low. Usually he just stays in the high post area and throws a jab step and shoots it. The black hole moniker is true though; once you give Taylor the rock, don't expect to see it again. Defensively, he's improved, but is still a weak defender overall. Last year he drew a lot of charges and had an occasional block here and there, but Taylor, for the most part is an ineffecitve defender. In terms of rebounding Taylor is just terrible. At 6'9" he's a bit undersized, but he definitely have the muscle at 265 pounds to be more aggressive on the boards. With Rahim and the rest of the Kings' big men sure to log more minutes than Taylor, I'm really unsure why he signed with the Kings. I thought he would sign with a team where he could get more minutes. The way I see it he'll be getting around 10-12 minutes.

I like Mo, especially off the bench, so take my following comments with a grain of salt.

I haven't really seen much of him in New York, but from his Houston days, Taylor is someone who can bring you 8 points off the bench in a quarter. When he is actually down low on offense, he can get you a few garbage points. On defense, he also tries, takes a charge or two in a while. Teams mainly look for him on offense though. Taylor's shot is sweet, and he has some decent low-post moves. Give him the ball, and he'll get you points, albeit at a fairly low percentage. He's definitely not the most efficient player.
