LeBron James, Dwight Howard, or Chris Bosh?

All three of these players are young and are the franchise players of their respective teams. They were all drafted relatively high in the draft and two of the three have signed large contract extensions to keep them around (Dwight's should come in 2008). Since all of these Eastern Conference teams are building around their young stars, which one will get a ring first? Dwyane Wade already snagged his in Miami alongside the Diesel so now the race is on for these three superstars in the making (or already superstar in LeBron's case). I will post my thoughts and opinions after a couple of you guys share what you think.

I'm going to have to go with Lebron or Dwight. Both their teams have improved and are getting closer to contension each year. Bosh is still in the rebuilding mode, and the Raptors are not even competing for a playoff spot yet, let alone a ring.

Lebron with the way he's playing, he's gonna be unstoppable in a couple of years. Bosh will get one in like 10 years cause the franchise is rebuilding. Howard will get one if the Magic get good players from free acency during the offseason.

Why just these three and not Amare or Carmelo?

It's quite obvious that the Cavs are far further along than the Magic and the Raptors in their championship aspirations, so should definitely be Lebron first. There's no real competition at all between the three though, Bosh and Howard maybe, but that's a trivial matter.

I was looking at the Eastern Conference picture.

For the West you could put a lot of guys up there too. Melo, Amare and Chris Paul are all young and talented. Their teams will probably produce some memorable playoff matchups in the future as well.

this would have been a better question: who will win a ring first out of the top 4 picks of the 03 draft?

but to answer your question i think dwight will...the cavs are a one man team with a couple of role players and you dont win championships like that

^ two of those dudes already have rings, so it wouldn't be a very accurate question.

The sad part is, as much as I hate it, it's true.

I see Dwight winning a ring first, and Lebron in his prime (which is kind of funny because the way he plays, you'd think he's in his prime). And I very much doubt Bosh will get a ring as much as it pains me to say it.

Darko is the only one in the Top 4 that has a ring. Wade was 5th.

    ------
About the question, I'm a huge Magic fan and I think the Heat/Pistons will be the beast of the East again maybe for another year or so as the Magic gain playoff experience and then Dwight will take over for Shaq as the dominating force. Look for him to be at least a 20 14 2 block guy this year and the scary part is he will actually continue to improve. The Magic have a good young core growing up around him with Jameer Nelson and Darko Milicic with role players such as Hedo Turkoglu, Keith Bogans, JJ Redick and Carlos Arroyo, not to mention veteran mix of Grant Hill and Tony Battie to help him through. We should win a ring in 3-4 years, it's just a matter of can Bosh or Lebron win one first.

How are the Cavs a one man team?? They have Larry Hughes, LB23, Big Z, and Shannon Brown. They have a WAY better chance then the Magic right now. Dwight basically has to carry the team by himself and hasn't even fully developed yet. Role Players DO help you win championships. Look at Michael Jordan. He won it with a "couple of role players."

Since when? Dwight has Jameer, Turk (IMO, Hedo is a great role player) and now he has G.Hill. So, how's Dwight carrying the team by himself? As for the question, I think D12 will be the first to win a ring. I mean, c'mon, look at this team!

LeBron James has more to work with. Dwight is STILL developing. LeBron is already an all-star avg. like 27/7/7 last season or around there. Hedo Turkoglu is alright but wouldn't start on most teams if not any. G.Hill is always injured so that's not saying much. Nelson needs to prove he's a leader on this team and along with Dwight. Remember, LeBron already has made the playoffs. The Magic haven't yet.

Remember Lebron made the playoffs for the first time in his 3rd year. Dwight is entering his 3rd year now.

We have a pretty solid supporting cast around Dwight Howard right now and like you said, he is still improving and not at the superstar level yet, so in order for us to make a playoff charge late in the season last year, obviously the supporting cast would have had to be good.
