<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Associated Press - Marko Jaric is looking for a fresh start. At the end of last season, the 6-foot-7 guard was tired, disappointed and frustrated. He'd lost his spot in the Timberwolves' starting lineup, and on some nights, he'd lost his place in the rotation. "I couldn't wait for last season to end," Jaric said. "I was not happy with my situation, and I'm sure the team was not happy with me." So he spent the offseason improving his quickness, ball-handling and attitude. "I've worked hard, and I'm even more hungry to show people who I am," he said. "I feel like I'm ready for this season." Timberwolves coach Dwane Casey said Wednesday he's seen the change. When Jaric came to camp last year after a trade for Sam Cassell and a No. 1 draft choice, he had tired legs and a tired mind from playing in a tournament for the Yugoslavian national team.</div> Source
I REALLY hope that he can just be adequate this year and provide some good depth for our 123 positions. Last year sucked, but I will keep an open mind for Jaric this year. Too bad Jaric Foye is here now.
I just hope that Jaric will play well with the minutes he gets and shows that he really is the talent that he was made out to be. Then we can trade him.
Yea I recently saw a Wolves exhibition game against the Pistons last friday. I saw Jaric play and he didn't look too hot at all, albeit was a exhibition game. But in a 3 minute span he got a layup sent back out of bounds by some no name Piston guy, then got posterized by Tashaun Prince on a dunk, and the whole Detroit bench got up and excited. He looked confused alot of the time too like he wasn't sure of where to go on the floor. Hope it was just an off game

He has the physical tools, but I really have no confidence in his understanding of the game/mental toughness.
I forgot about this guy until I saw the T-Wolves roster the other day. The trio of Ricky, Mike James, and Foye alone will take his spotlight if he doesn`t show anything like last season.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">CHICAGO — Marko Jaric is adapting to his new role this season, and his success is growing into a storyline this preseason. Jaric began the preseason as a plug-in player, a guy who could play three or maybe four positions. But as training camp has evolved, he has played more at small forward, and it seems to be suiting him fine. At that position, the former point guard doesn't have to worry as much about creating opportunities for other players. He can be aggressive offensively under the right circumstances. Take Wednesday night's exhibition game against the Detroit Pistons as an example. He had 15 points in 20 minutes, made five of seven shots and all four of his free throws. He used screens well and penetrated to the basket with good cuts. It was a positive sign in a game the Pistons controlled for much of the night at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Mich., beating the Wolves 112-103. Jaric said that, as a reserve, he doesn't have time this season to wait around when he gets in the game. He's the team's third-leading scorer through four preseason games, averaging 10 points in just 20 minutes. "I'm in a position where I'm going to be very aggressive this year," Jaric said. "Every time I get the ball, I'm going to try to make something happen. I'm not going to rush. I'm going to try to wait for my moment. It depends on the momentum of the game. Is it time to get the ball to K.G. or is it time to try to create something, but I'm definitely going to be much more aggressive." Jaric knows seizing control of his role is the best way to show he deserves more time. "He's an instinctively aggressive guy," coach Dwane Casey said. "I don't think he has to go in and just do something crazy. He can contribute, whether it's rebounding, defending. … There are a lot of different ways you can create positive things when you're on the floor. That's good that Marko feels that way because that's what we need from him coming off the bench."</div> Jaric's Role Rising
He has the size and the skills to play the 3, and this way he wont have to be the decision maker on the floor. With a team that is so overstocked with guards, its good to see that guys are accepting different roles and concentrating on doing what is needed of them to win ballgames.
