<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">On occasion, he will get a green light to take the lead. It doesn't take much prompting for Jazz rookie Ronnie Brewer to grab that notion and slam the gas.
Simply stated, Utah's 2006 lottery pick gets the point ? and will get ample chance to show that's so as the opening week of his inaugural NBA training camp continues to unfold.
"I'm pretty comfortable with the ball in my hands and running the offense," said Brewer, a swingman who also played plenty of point guard when circumstances dictated the need during his three seasons at the University of Arkansas.
"My freshman year, I played it like 75, 80 percent ? because we didn't have depth at that position. So if a guy wasn't having a good game at point guard, and I came in and I contributed, our coach wanted me to keep on doing that. My sophomore year, he wanted me to score a little bit more ? but, at the same time, he wanted me to get us into the offense. My junior year, the same thing. At least half the time I was always running the point when I was in school."</div>

Brewer is going to be a stud. I wish he was on my team.

Brewer is going to be a good player in the NBA, lets hope he gets on Sloan's good side so he'll be able to show more than flashes of that talent this season. He's exactly what we need-athletic, defensive, long. If he works to get a dependable shot, he could possible take over the SG position after the All-Star break
