Dwight Howard, Orlando: He'll be just 21 in December, but looks ready to enter the conversation when speaking about the game's top big men. He had more rebounds than anyone else last season, and his offensive game continues to grow. It's no surprise that Wade, who would know, has called Howard a younger version of Shaq.</div>

Interesting group of people that they put him ahead of. I agree that I would put Dwight over Amare, because Amare is still trying to recover from that injury, but I think I might put Yao over Dwight for now. At the end of the season I think you will be able to call Dwight a Top 10 player, though.

are these rankings based on potential? what these writers think the players will do during the upcoming season? or what they did during the previous season?

What about Vince? Howard isn't up to VC's level yet.

Dwight Howard isn't that good. Amare, Gasol, Yao, and J.O'Neal all have developed games and jumpshots. A little insane rank by whoever wrote this.
