<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Vince Carter knows what's coming: Questions in every city about his impending free agency. But he envisions finishing his career as a Net. "I love it here," he said. "I don't see why not, because it's a wonderful opportunity to play with these guys. Everywhere you go, each city you go to it's going to be asked. But I'm prepared." </div> Source
Don't you ever notice that that all professional athletes say things in order to be in the positive light. The nets are realistically a crap team right now anyways, and that Carter is holding up the excitement and wins for them at this time. I say Carter should just leave.

The Nets have made it into the playoffs and are much better than the Kings and Raptors. Maybe even better than the Spurs.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The nets are realistically a crap team right now anyways,</div> That's funny. They are a better team right now than last season. And last season they went to the 2nd round of the playoffs. Where were the Raptors and Kings?
<font color=""red"">Maybe even better than the Spurs?</font> Okay, this is going really far. In what way are the Nets kinda, sorta better than the Spurs. You gotta be kidding me. In no way are the Nets remotely close to the Spurs. Maybe the Raptors not the Spurs. Have the Nets won 3 champions in the last 10 years? No. You Nets fans are delusional. Just stick with your Kidd is better than Carter mentality, ship him out, and let's see where your beloved Nets are next year. I can't wait when Carter packs up and goes and Nets belong where they're supposed to: Below the Bobcats.
Well both sides are wrong, the Nets aren't a crap team, and they also aren't better than the Spurs. The Nets have a chance to win their division and make the playoffs again, but they still don't have answer for stopping DWade. The Nets need to make a move to acquire a defensive specialist capable of chasing Wade around and forcing Wade to work hard to get baskets. Jason Kidd used to be able to defend a player like Wade, but he's a step slower now and lost some athleticism.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">A crap team? The Nets have made it into the playoffs and are much better than the Kings and Raptors. Maybe even better than the Spurs. </div> hahaha, no the nets are not better than the kings or the spurs. The only reason the kings didnt make it to the second round was because they had to play the spurs in the first. The spurs are probably the 2nd or 3rd best team in the NBA. IMO, the nets should just not take the chance of carter leaving and make a trade for another player, or players, that might add up to his value. They could definately add some more tough post players, and better defenders. I also think that if carter was gone RJ could step up and become an all-star.
This is true Answer, I've heard Carter use that line time and time again when he was w/ the Raptors and in actuality, chances are he will leave because he will soon get tired of barely making the first round and losing in the second round of the playoffs. He did it in Toronto, so why should he have to do it in Jersey. His game is more suited for Dallas anyways, and I hope he leaves New Jersey for that team. Somewhere he can be more appreciated for the skills that he possesses and less for the question of whether or not Kidd makes him better. Carter, if you're listening, please go to a team that will appreciate you. You are a very rare talent, and don't waste your champion calibre skills on a team that won't get you into the the NBA Finals. Dallas is waiting.
What exactly is Dallas going to sign him with? <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">chances are he will leave because he will soon get tired of barely making the first round and losing in the second round of the playoffs</div> That says so much about his character if he does it. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">His game is more suited for Dallas anyways, and I hope he leaves New Jersey for that team</div> How so? He isn't going to be the first option.
<font color=""Red"">What exactly is Dallas going to sign him with?</font> Magic Beans, money of course. <font color=""red"">That says so much about his character if he does it.</font> You make it seem like Carter is loyal to New Jersey alone. Has his cool 'friend's with everbody' personality magnitized you in some way? This is a business man. Who cares what you or anybody else thinks. He doesn't have to stay because he might be jeopardizing his personality. He said the same thing in Toronto. How old are you anyways 8? <font color=""red"">How so? He isn't going to be the first option.</font> You really don't know Carter do you? He doesn't want to be the first option. He'd rather not be the target so he feels free to do what he wants. He was behind Antawn in North Carolina and when he went to the Raptors, he didn't like the pressure of being number 1 there, and now he likes working alongside Kidd, but not number 1 option. He'd rather be beside or behind Nowitzki. You should really get to know Carter better <font color=""red"">Kidd</font> because your points show that you don't know what you're talking about, and alot of people will agree with this.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Magic Beans, money of course.</div> They don't have money for him. End of story. He won't go to Dallas because they can't afford him. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">You really don't know Carter do you? He doesn't want to be the first option. Are you really 31 because you really need to jump sports. You really don't seem to know much about basketball. Yes it is a business but screwing over your team is awful and I'm sure he won't do it again. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">You should really get to know Carter </div> I'll be sure to call him and have a whole convo about his basketball life.
I actually see VC staying on the Nets for some time. I just dont think he'll end his career as a Net, that's all.
vince carter is the king of spin, fyi- he never publicly admitted to be wanting to be traded from t.o.
<div class="quote_poster">hollagr8 Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">You do that Kidd, all I'm saying is he's gone after this season is over. End of story.</div> He's not leaving New Jersey. The team is too good for him to leave.

That goes to show how deceptive he can be. He'll do the same thing to New Jersey that he did to Toronto with all of you being pissed, and then back to your BORING Nets.
<div class="quote_poster">Carter Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">He's not leaving New Jersey. The team is too good for him to leave.</div> He's also under contract, and due to his age, not many teams would be willing to trade for him.

This is hilarious. Everybody wants him, smart guy. He's very marketable and he makes your BORING team exciting.
